Do you recall the presidential elections 20 years ago? Personally, I don't, despite it being the year I obtained my right to vote – I simply chose not to exercise it. The illusion of choice is all we have.
Now, every four years, we're subjected to the same charade: "The most important election of our lives" has arrived... If you examine the propaganda during each cycle, you'll find various candidates stating the same thing: "This is the most important election of our life."
No, it isn't. In reality, the elites have only gained more power for themselves and reinforced the system, regardless of which puppet occupies the position. It doesn't matter whether Trump or Kamala wins... It literally makes no difference.
If the opposite were true, then Trump would have acted differently during his previous presidency. He didn't end wars, bring troops back home, pardon Assange or Snowden, or serve the American people. If the opposite were true, he wouldn't have allowed lockdowns in the US either – let's not forget that.
The true rulers of the US are not on Forbes' 500 list; they don't need to appear on TV or anything like that, and neither Trump nor Harris will be in charge of anything. The masses are led by fear and hope, which is what they're sold every four years – hope for a better future and fear of a worse one.
In reality, the world continues on its course regardless of who's in power. I find it amusing when I see bitcoiners claiming that if Harris gets elected, it will be bad for Bitcoin... Man, the only thing that could negatively impact Bitcoin is a global power outage and internet shutdown. Other than that, these politicians can't touch Bitcoin or its foundations.
If you prioritize dollar valuation above all else, then don't call yourself a Bitcoiner – call yourself something else. The system is rigged and will continue to function the same way for many years to come. What we need to do is circumvent this fucking system, like what we're doing here on Hive. Relying on a presidential candidate to change anything significant in the US is as futile as hoping for shade to stop ice cream from melting.
Bitcoin will do its thing no matter who gets elected, and whoever does get elected must cater to their sponsors – that's just how it is...
Thanks for your attention,
Adrian
Couldn't agree more. The government has been expanding exponentially ever since they dropped the gold standard in 1971. Fiat currency has allowed them to amass more power every year. They'll never have enough power to stop Bitcoin though.
The government is just the tip of the iceberg.
