AskLeo - How Has Hive Changed You?

Hive for me is no longer some project out there, a social media that I am part of for a few minutes a day, acting like a bus stop where you have a breather, say hi to some folks and drive further. It's much more like what @nathanmars relation with it. As weird as it might sound but I started to live it a couple of years ago and not just walk on it. AI guess that sounds even weirder.

It's been a blast and it's getting better so how has Hive changed me?

Well, it did that in a lot of ways and to this point it's been mostly positive changes that I am happy about. One of the best and most impactful changes is the fact that it made me a blogger. I had no prior experience with this type of content and wasn't even a consumer. Now I'm a daily producer and been doing that for over three years. Not proud of everything that got out of my account, but it's mine and I have to deal with it. I still try to keep the pace and deliver on a daily basis.

At the time I joined the social media platform built on this blockchain my life was a complete mess. I was in depression, having multiple panic attacks a day, no direction at all and grey was a bright color for me. Having this thing to dive in for more than eight hours a day it also acted as a therapist. It made me being consistent about something, ignited passion and gave me goals and healthy dopamine shots.

My perspective of spending my time online was completely changed soon after I created this account. I can't call any minute spent in here as being time consuming or categorize it as wasted time, but couldn't say the same thing about youtube though. or facebook... I went from hours and hours a day wasted on non productive nonsense to the total opposite and been doing that ever since. No other project had managed to steal me this way.

It got me social though in the online space. By the time I landed in here I no longer had facebook or instagram and twitter was just for crypto related content consumption, I was basically not interacting with anyone online, but I found here quite a bunch of people that I resonate with and interact on a daily basis, and although that's not face to face interaction it's more than welcomed.

Prior to Hive I was only owning some crypto, watching occasional youtube videos, digesting a few tweets a day and that was pretty much it. I can't say that I was in any way involved in crypto like for example mining it, earning it in any way and being part of a crypto project. This thing got me involved and held me connected through all these years and got me over a quite cold bear market.

The most important change that Hive is guilty for is redesigning my concept about finances, economy, making an income, helping me develop myself an investor mindset and clear a lot of the fog around my personal finances. It was the I can, and there is a way for everything that I needed for so much. I probably wasn't even aware how conditional I was thinking, about three years ago.

It's been life changing I tell you and although I'm a three years old user I feel like a freshman and we're just getting started. It's like when building a house and you don't have much fulfillment when you just look at the foundation itself, but once you start making the walls and everything takes shape the sense of fulfillment ignites, but you also realize that without a foundation there wouldn't be no house and no fulfillment.

Hive is the foundation and it's a lasting one. It's changed a lot for myself and in my personal life and this post is a tribute to it. I know... not saying anything new here, but I had to write it down. A reminder to myself and a confidence booster for a newbie reading it. What about you though, how has Hive changed you?
