AskLeo - How do we make the most/market of LeoInfra Signup Integrations?

You've probably read already on leofinance, or watched Khal(@khaleelkazi) offering a video sample, of the future signup methods for Hive/leofinance, having now the option to onboard new users through twitter, which is the giant step towards mass adoption that Hive needed for years. I know, getting through all the Hive account creation and saving your private keys on your own has its own flavor and aroma, but it's not for everybody.

Most of the billions of internet users out there are accustomed with signing up to all sort of sites and social media platforms, and even online shopping places, with their facebook or twitter accounts, mostly facebook I think. Leofinance, thanks to Khal, made it possible for anyone owning a twitter account to be able to signup on Hive and do that fast, trouble free, and without too much blockchain and crypto knowledge.

Your grandma can now join Hive if she isn't around here already. From what I understand there's this thing called LeoInfra which takes care of the keys and all the background dirty work for this easy and fast signup method with the use of ones twitter account. For more details read Khal's post, or watch his podcast as he explains way more better and in details how everything works.

I am more inclined towards the marketing and psychology of this giant step towards the long expected mass adoption of Hive, where LeoInfra signups will play an important role. Some of us don't even imagine how massive this is and how do we make the most out of this?

Being so attached of this platform and basically not doing too much for it, I am squeezing my brains out on how to serve this thing to the public. I mean, we have it, it works, but who's gonna push the create account button via twitter after all, what herds are we aiming at? We need a plan, the way I see it and it will for sure involve marketing. I doubt anyone will search on google "how to sign up on Hive with your twitter account" and suddenly see ourselves flooded by new users.

That's why I invite anyone reading this post to try and come up with ideas on how to now market/sell Leofinance, and implicitly Hive as well, especially having this ace in the pocket which from what I understand will be available as of tomorrow. Don't forget that microblogging is around the corner as well and that's massive as well.

What's the plan, how do you think we should play this card right?

The most important question to ask is..
Ok, someone (anyone) - lets assume with close to zero blockchain/hive/reddit knowledge - arrives here :)
Then what?
They should receive a welcome, a walk-through, a guidance and the new guest should be able to understand what to do / where and why.
Will there be some kind of delegation offered to them?
How will they be able to post/comment/whatever?
Will they be able to find information? Will they want to? Will they send a message to FinanceLeo's twitter asking for guidance? Will they be bored to bother?
I have a few (not yet clearly shaped) ideas, let's see the feedback and take it from there :)

They don't resource credits on leo. I guess we ahould start making some beginners guides.

we definitely need some sort of quick(!) tutorial; it could be just a matter of a couple of clicks with some slides that shows the basics. I would do it, but don't have the skills (graphic design) and time

There are only so many account creation tokens leofinance has so they should focuse on users who they think are likely to keep using leofinance. Basically focus on Twitter users who they think they will have the highest probability of retention with. What I don't want is having a bunch of randoms signing up, wasting a ton of account creation tokens, then darting away after the crypto bull turns to bear.

You got a point. I'd also shill it more to investors rather than consumers. People that would put time, effort, money and dedication into this. I guess there's no perfect user, but instead of getting thousands that are just for a quick buck... I'd rather se it as it is. I am excited though about this feature and consider it of bon augur.

Well this feature should certainly help with the percentage of people that create an account with us once they found out about LeoFinance. The easier it is to set up your LeoFinance account, the more people will do it.
So in my opinion, no need to change anything in terms of marketing - we really just need to keep pushing! Share the news where ever we can, make people aware of Leofinance and our vision for it,

That and a bit of extra...

Barriers to entry are really the biggest issue that is impacting mass adoption of crypto currency right now. People need something that is easy to access and manage. Hopefully that doesn't come at the cost of security.

You're right. I am so pissed off right now at kucoin for not allowing me to withdraw my $10 worth of DAI :))
Nor can I exchange that for ETH, keeps on asking for a trading password...

I was dealing with something similar on Bittrex. Ended up having to convert everything back and send it back. I hate to even think how much I lost to fees...

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I can't even convert anything. I wouldn't touch that Kucoin but I earn AMPL on publish0x and was thinking to send it there.

Well, if you need support to spread the word, I will do my best 👍⬆️️📈

I guess we all need it.

Awesome information! I'm fell in love with LEOFINANCE a month ago and it's been a wonderful investment. No to mention some of the greatest communities I've ever been a part of. Keep up the great work!
