4000 Hive Power

81 days ago I celebrated hitting 3,000 Hive Power, which was a very important and impressive milestone for me on my targeted 2022 journey to 10,000 Hive Power. Today I notched another thousand on the road towards that target as hit 4,000 Hive Power. I could have actually hit it early but when Hive rocketed n price I banked 500HBD with a view to later converting to Hive Power.

12% APR and low risk

Once I had the 500HBD in savings and got used to the 12% APR, I decided to just leave it there compounding away, and year one will return 60HBD which is an incredibly good return on investment. In fact if one was shrewd they could wait until Hive drops to $0.80 and buy a large quantity with fiat currency and convert to HBD and put it into savings. The 12% return for a token with a good history is fantastic value.

Once I hit my target and perhaps before I will start to increase my HBD holdings. Perhaps a good approach would be to bank half and convert half to Hive and then power it up on HPUD day. Do you guys bank some of your HBD and if so how much? I'd love to hear about it below.

Spreading The Word

I've always been one to tell family and friends about Hive and Crypto in general and for a long time this was met with raised eyebrows and blank expressions, but lately people want to know more and the barriers to getting in are constantly lowering. The 12% APR mentioned above is a perfect example of how to attract people, not 124,678% APR for LoadofBollix Token or the like that is highly speculative.

Hitting The Target

I'm delighted to report that I've hit another milestone on my road towards 10,000 HP. I've just now passed 4,000HP which I'm delighted about. I'm hopeful that as my HP increases, my curation awards will also grow as well which will allow accelerated growth. My next target is 5,000 HP and I'd like to reach this target by July 1st this year. Let's see how that goes, but for now, I want to concentrate on my current achievement of making it as far as 4,000HP. Sure, it pales in significance in comparison to some of the huge Whales on here and equates to a puff of water coming from their blowhole, but for me it's a big deal and I'm thrilled with my continued double digit growth over the past six months. If I can maintain monthly double digit growth for every month in 2022, then I will be pretty close to my ultimate target of 10,000K.

I said this when I passed 3,000HP 81 days ago and I'm tracking well towards this target and should be marginally ahead of 4123HP by the end of March which is just fantastic.

Wow, that would be unreal if I could get this close to 10,000HP by 31st December 2022!! Hopefully the Maths are right, as I did them in my head as I wrote, luckily 10% growth is easy to figure out in your head.
