Movie Review: Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri

Hi Movie lovers...
What movie do you watch nowadays?

What really attracted me to this film wasn't anything. I didn't particularly like the two actors—nor did I hate them. I watch their films if the story is interesting. As for this film, I watched it because I believed it had a lighthearted story and a very bright—beautiful—view of Croatia. So I made this somewhat oddly titled film my last to watch at the end of 2025.

Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri

This film tells the story of a WO owner—Rehan ‘Ray’ Mehra and his mother, Pinky Mehra who just got a mansion in the USA after their hard work. Then long story short, Ray went on vacation to Croatia. At the airport, he met Rumi Vardhan—a writer who forced him to buy his book. Unexpectedly, the incident made the two of them like cat & dog, and this cat & dog did not expect that they were on the same plane, sitting next to each other to Croatia. Arriving in Croatia, the two were at the same travel agent and unfortunately—they were in the same cabin on a yacht.

On this trip, Ray enjoyed teasing Rumi, discussing her taste in food and even her books, which he called boring. However, the intensity of their time together eventually led to their mutual attraction. Despite being forbidden to marry an Indian girl, Ray chose Rumi as his bride. He even proposed to her, and Rumi's answer was "No!"

Rumi and her sister had been taking care of her father—an elderly sleepwalker and former colonel. Rumi had been free to travel freely because her sister was there to look after her. However, her sister had decided to get married and move to Canada. This made it difficult for Rumi to get married, as she didn't want to leave her father and move to the USA.

My Review

As I expected, the chemistry between the actors—Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday—was minimal. They were more suited as bhai-behen (brothers and sisters) than lovers. As for the premise, I felt like the film was observing, imitating, and modifying the film Tamasha—starring Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone. The story begins with two strangers in Croatia who eventually fall in love, but when the man proposes, the woman rejects them.

The only thing I liked about this film was Kartik Aaryan's character as a mama's boy. You know, mama's boys are often considered a red flag. So, Kartik's character here is really interesting because he's also a playful person.

I rate this film 3 out of 5 stars; Entertainment...

Hi, Halo, Annyeong, welcome to my galaxy.

I have so much imagination in my head. Something that I can't achieve as a human and as a girl. So writing is very challenging. Since Junior High School, I have written whatever I want to write. Without skill, I just write what I want to read. Now I have 12th published novels and all of those are romance.
Yeah, I proudly say that I am a passionate author, traveler wannabe, and blogger.
