Casino (1995)

The film tells the story of Sam "Ace" Rothstein, CEO of a Las Vegas casino in the 70s. Rothstein's job is to ensure that the business runs usually and that the money gets into the hands of his bosses: a group of gangsters, with all the problems that this entails.

It is a must-see classic of gangster cinema, and an important piece in the filmography of Martin Scorsese, who directed this film based on the script that was made from the novel written by Nicholas Pileggi, the same Goodfellas collaborator.

The reasons to see this movie are many, excellent performances by Robert De Niro, Sharon Stone, Joe Pesci and James Woods, a great history of the genre and an excellent direction.

Cellular (2004)

An explosive action movie or one of the best cell phone commercials ever? We don't know yet.

Cellular tells the story of Ryan, played by Chris Evans, who receives a call from Jessica Kate Martin, Kim Basinger, a woman who has been kidnapped and asks Ryan for help, because the kidnappers are also looking for her husband and son. Without knowing his location and with the cell phone battery on the edge Ryan is Jessica's only hope.

Honestly you can not demand much of a film of this style, except entertainment, and it does. I remember seeing this movie over a decade ago, and it was a very entertaining journey.

Collateral (2004)

One night Max Durocher does his job just like in the last 12 years, people get into his taxi, and he drives to their destinations, but this time it will not be so easy, a strange passenger who says his name is Vincent boards his taxi and forces Max to drive to the location of the people he will kill.

The reasons why I recommend this movie are many. Not only is it the good script by Stuart Beattie or the great direction of Michael Mann, I must also mention the excellent interpretations of Jamie Foxx and Tom Cruise, who is completely impeccable, we see him in this film like never before, playing the cold hitman Vincent.

Well those three movies are my recommendations.

Thank you for reading.
