Yes Beast of No Nation is really an exception to other war films. The thought of kids fighting in a war they obviously did not start is sad and annoying. Agu's life was already hard but he had no idea what he was about to face. You'd wonder what it would take for a child to stop doing child things and begin to murder. A sick but interesting story for sure.
