The Wild Robot || A Visually Stunning Film

The title of this animated film almost made me scroll past it as it came off as something that'd be more focused on science and technology rather than fun and adventures which I sought for but I got rather stunned after checking it out.
It's a quirky adventurous, and heartwarming film filmed with relatable themes that leaves you and your family glued to their seats until the credits roll.

Synopsis

After a shipwreck, a robot named Roz finds herself stranded on an island inhabited by wild animals. She tries to bond with them but they view her as a monster. The animals either hide away from her or attack her and try to dismantle her but Roz is extremely kind at heart. While on the Island, she embarks on a journey of self discovery and tirelessly tries to form bonds with the animals by wanting to perform tasks for them. She also cares for an orphaned baby goose, Brightbill, whose parents were accidentally killed during the shipwreck that left her(Roz) stranded on the island.

My Review and Rating

“The Wild Robot” is a poignant, adventure pack film with stunning cinematography and a heart warming storytelling style. One thing I love so much about it is that it is didactic. It’s one of those films that stays with you even after the credits roll. The events are palpable and I highly recommend it for the entire family.

It's one of those films out there that can come in handy for people who are new to the parenting thing as it touches on those areas, highlighting patience, resilience and the beauty of togetherness.

I also love how it combines humor with real life lessons. Trust me you won’t get bored with this one. The soundtrack is beautiful and also adds depth to the film and the characters are all outstanding.

One thing that really stands out in this film is its breathtaking visuals and landscape. During its first ten minutes I thought it was just going to be some science fiction that was going to bore me out with its heavy use of science jargons but I’m elated it turned out interesting. It’s literally one of the best animated films I’ve seen since this year rolled in.

I’d leave it with a ⅘ rating. I highly recommend it.
