Even tho I love books I always try to avoid series but they are the finest most times. Eg. Sherlock Holmes,game of thrones, chronicles of Narnia, etc.

Ironically after seeing your comment, I saw someone else's review on Google talking about how overarching the book was to the movie.

You should defo check the series
