I also just enjoyed this one for what it was. The structure of the movie kind of reminded me of Barabrian. That one was way scarier though while Heretic was more interetsing from a philosophical viewpoint.

I also saw barbarian and it reminded me a bit of that one, in certain aspects and certain parts, but it reminded me much more of hereditary.
