VIOLENTA Y PERVERSA SIN TACTO Y DIRECTA AL GRANO PARA MAYORES DE +18 Y QUE NO SEAN SENSIBLES A LO BIZARRO.
Un saludo cordial a toda la comunidad Cinéfila y en especial a aquellos que me regalan unos minutos de su tiempo para darle un vistazo a mis reseñas y por dejar un buen comentario lo cual valoro un mucho y aunque la interacción en mi blog es muy poca estoy contento con el feedback que he tenido con algunos de ustedes y el cual espero que se mantenga de todo corazón. En esta oportunidad quiero traer la reseña de una película que tuve la oportunidad de recomendar vía Twitter en un pequeño espacio que he llamado UN TRAGO DE RON Y DOS PELÍCULAS PARA VER SIN DOLOR hace un par de días.
La vi ya hace unas semanas y como acostumbro hacer un borrador donde plasmo o dejo mi opinión sobre X o Y “película / serie” me topé con ese escrito y me puse manos a la obra y así compartir un poco sobre mis impresiones y quizás despertar en ti la curiosidad por verla y si ya la vistes seria genial conocer tu opinión. Antes de comenzar te comparto que no soy amante del género gore donde la sangre sea un recurso sobreexplotado sin ningún efecto más allá de hacer un escándalo visual. Películas como Saw, The Hills Have Eyes, Hostel entre muchas otras manejan este recurso visual con intenciones distintas dependiendo el contexto pero que al final tiene el mismo objetivo que es incomodar al espectador, aunque en ocasiones aburre por el uso constante del recurso.

A warm greeting to all the Cinéfila community and especially to those who give me a few minutes of their time to take a look at my reviews and for leaving a good comment which I value a lot and although the interaction on my blog is very little I am happy with the feedback I've had with some of you and which I hope will be maintained wholeheartedly. In this opportunity I want to bring the review of a movie that I had the opportunity to recommend via Twitter in a small space that I have called A DRINK OF RUM AND TWO MOVIES TO WATCH WITHOUT PAIN a couple of days ago.
I saw it a few weeks ago and as I usually make a draft where I write my opinion about X or Y "movie / series" I came across this writing and I started to work and share a little about my impressions and perhaps arouse in you the curiosity to see it and if you already saw it it would be great to know your opinion. Before I start I would like to share with you that I am not a lover of the gore genre where blood is an overexploited resource without any effect beyond making a visual scandal. Movies like Saw, The Hills Have Eyes, Hostel among many others handle this visual resource with different intentions depending on the context but in the end it has the same objective which is to make the viewer uncomfortable, although sometimes it gets boring due to the constant use of the resource.
No diré que esta película marca una diferencia ya que no es así y a la distancia se nota que el director (Rob Jabbaz) no escatima en gastos para darle un buen uso. Lo que sí debo destacar y esto es mi perspectiva es lo que yo sentí, entendí, capté y es que la violencia como la sangre pueden ser exageradas y dramáticas hasta donde la imaginación y nuestro yo interior lo permitan.
Sin más rodeo y directos a lo que venimos solo me queda decirle amigos cinéfilos a su salud y bienvenidos a RON & CINE con los Panas.
🎬 I won't say that this film makes a difference as it doesn't and from a distance you can tell that the director (Rob Jabbaz) spares no expense to put it to good use. What I must emphasize and this is my perspective is what I felt, understood, grasped and that is that violence like blood can be exaggerated and dramatic as far as the imagination and our inner selves allow.
Without further ado and straight to the point, I can only say to you, my cinephile friends, to your health and welcome to RON & CINE with the Panas.
🎬 ¿DE QUÉ TRATA LA PELÍCULA?
¡TE LO CUENTO RÁPIDO Y SIN SPOILERS, POR SI AÚN NO LA HAS VISTO!
The Sadness es una película que se estrenó en el año 2021 bajo el género Terror/Catástrofe con una duración de 1h 39m. Todo comienza con una pareja de enamorados Jim (Berant Zhu) y Kat(Regina Lei) despiertan un día normal como cualquier otro y se disponen a laborar y hacer lo que hacen todos los días. Todo parece tranquilo y nada fuera de lo común.
Lo único extraño de ese día es la vaga información en las noticias sobre un nuevo virus que parece venir acompañado de una excusa por ser tiempos de elecciones ya saben un pretexto para pausar y ver que ocurre en lo político es decir un pote de humo para mantener a la población distraída. Todo parece que va por ese camino, pero en realidad están pasando cosas muy raras a medida que avanza la película vemos cómo las personas comienzan actuar diferente fuera de sí como si fueran animales violentos y con hambre de carne humana hasta tal punto que todo se torna en un baño de sangre y el caos toma control de la situación y el Terror Físico parece ser el protagonista.
🎬 WHAT IS THE MOVIE ABOUT?
I'LL TELL YOU QUICKLY AND WITHOUT SPOILERS, IN CASE YOU HAVEN'T SEEN IT YET!.
The Sadness is a movie that was released in the year 2021 under the genre Terror/Catastrophe with a duration of 1h 39m. It all starts with a loving couple Jim (Berant Zhu) and Kat(Regina Lei) wake up on a normal day like any other and set out to work and do what they do every day. Everything seems quiet and nothing out of the ordinary.
The only strange thing that day is the vague information in the news about a new virus that seems to be accompanied by an excuse for being election time, a pretext to pause and see what happens in politics, a pot of smoke to keep the population distracted. Everything seems to be going that way, but in reality very strange things are happening as the film progresses we see how people begin to act differently out of their minds as if they were violent animals hungry for human flesh to the point that everything turns into a bloodbath and chaos takes control of the situation and the Physical Terror seems to be the protagonist.
Aquí pondré pausa no hace falta contarte más y aunque parezca una sinopsis muy simple es para mí más que suficiente ya que la película como tal no cuenta con una docena de situaciones o giros inesperados es muy lineal y gráfica.
🎬 Here I will put pause no need to tell you more and although it seems a very simple synopsis is for me more than enough as the film as such does not have a dozen situations or unexpected twists it is very linear and graphic.
🎬 MI OPINIÓN LIBRE DE SPOILERS
Es una película donde la violencia, la perversión, la sangre, la brutalidad están muy presentes de inicio a fin donde parece que se desea enviar un mensaje cargado de tantos matices y quizás hecha con la vaga intención de escandalizar y ofender dependiendo quien la vea y como la digiera ya que sin duda no temen en mostrar lo crudo y atroz de lo que el ser humano podría ser capaz. No es la típica película donde podemos confundirla con los Zombis o algo que se le parezca ya que va hacia otra dirección y aunque muestre recursos a nivel gráfico o narrativo que hayamos visto en otras películas, no deja de tener su toque de originalidad y eso se debe destacar. Las escenas gore tiene sentido y puede que exagere un poco en algunas ocasiones, pero creo que es manejado con la única intención de incomodar al espectador y sobre todo al que no está acostumbrado a este tipo de películas.
No había visto tanta sangre recientemente después que me vi el chiste de película de Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2022 tenía la vaga impresión de que sería más relajada por este aspecto, pero no aquí siento que abusan del recurso mucho, pero sin que te saque de onda lo cual es difícil ya que cuando vemos el uso agresivo de este recurso suele perder impacto la película y aquí no pasa o por lo menos a nivel personal no me saco de onda más bien me mantenía al tanto ya que cada escena por muy bizarra o grotesca va acompañada de algo que la mantiene y es el contexto de lo que está por ocurrir y que lo genera. Tengan en cuenta que no es la típica película de infectados con sé de sangre.
🎬 MY SPOILER FREE OPINION
It is a film where violence, perversion, blood, brutality are very present from start to finish where it seems that they want to send a message loaded with so many nuances and perhaps made with the vague intention to scandalize and offend depending on who sees it and how they digest it since they are certainly not afraid to show how raw and atrocious what the human being could be capable of. It is not the typical film where we can confuse it with Zombies or something that resembles it since it goes in another direction and although it shows resources at a graphic or narrative level that we have seen in other films, it still has its touch of originality and that should be highlighted. The gore scenes make sense and may be a bit exaggerated at times, but I think it is handled with the sole intention of discomforting the spectator and especially those who are not used to this type of film.
I hadn't seen so much blood recently after I saw the Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2022 movie joke I had the vague impression that it would be more relaxed because of this aspect, but not here I feel that they abuse the resource a lot, but without getting you out of the loop which is difficult because when we see the aggressive use of this resource the film usually loses impact and here it does not happen or at least personally it does not get me out of the loop rather it kept me aware because each scene however bizarre or grotesque is accompanied by something that keeps it and it is the context of what is about to happen and what generates it. Keep in mind that this is not your typical infected movie with blood.
Solemos toparnos con películas donde las personas contagiadas con algún Virus son poseídas por este ente biológico y controlan todo lo que hace el individuo y un ejemplo de eso lo podemos ver en la película Viral del año 2016 o en otras del género, pero aquí las cosas pintan diferente ya que estas personas contaminadas por así llamarlo tienen "Conciencia" de lo que hacen y no olvidan quienes son o dónde están se mantiene eso presente y lo hace más interesante con la única diferencia que su impulso violento, sexual, y emociones oscuras se potencien y saquen lo peor de ellos sin importar si son buenos o malos.
Esto me gusto le dio sentido a todo y si parece que me encanta lo Sádico y lo pervertido y no es así, pero no puedo negar que lo llevaron muy bien. No conozco el trabajo de (Rob Jabbaz) antes de esto y por lo poco que he investigado está muy crudo, pero con esto creo que da un buen paso dentro del género.
Llegamos a un punto donde debes tener una idea más clara de lo que va la película y la intención que tiene con el espectador más allá de incomodar como he repetido en varias oportunidades. Aquí te quiero hablar de un par de personajes que me impactaron mucho y que de seguro mi punto de vista puede ir de la mano contigo si ya has tenido la oportunidad de verla y de no ser así tranquilo que no dejaré caer ningún spoilers.
La actriz (Regina Lei) quien le da vida al personaje de Kat muestra una buena presentación de su personaje puedes conectar rápido y ver cómo va evolucionando de forma pausada y me refiero a la parte donde el drama va de la mano con la chica con el poder de enfrentar cualquier situación que ponga su vida en riesgo, pero que también nos transmita algo de terror ya que ella es quien nos mete en la trama. El personaje no intenta ganar todas las batallas más bien sobrevivir al momento usando recursos simples y que no haga que su agresor parezca torpe.
🎬 We usually come across movies where people infected with some Virus are possessed by this biological entity and control everything the individual does and an example of that we can see in the movie Viral of the year 2016 or in others of the genre, but here things look different as these contaminated people so to speak have "Awareness " of what they do and don't forget who they are or where they are it keeps that present and makes it more interesting with the only difference being that their violent, sexual, and dark emotions are empowered and bring out the worst in them no matter if they are good or bad.
I liked this made sense of it all and yes it seems like I love Sadistic and kinky and I don't, but I can't deny that they pulled it off very well. I don't know (Rob Jabbaz's) work before this and from what little I've researched it's very raw, but with this I think he takes a good step into the genre.
ACTORS AND THEIR CHARACTERS.
We come to a point where you should have a clearer idea of what the film is about and the intention it has with the viewer beyond discomfort as I have repeated on several occasions. Here I want to talk about a couple of characters that impacted me a lot and that surely my point of view can go hand in hand with you if you have already had the opportunity to see it and if not, rest assured that I will not drop any spoilers.
The actress (Regina Lei) who gives life to the character of Kat shows a good presentation of her character you can connect fast and see how she evolves in a slow way and I mean the part where the drama goes hand in hand with the girl with the power to face any situation that puts her life at risk, but that also transmits us some terror since she is the one who gets us into the plot. The character does not try to win all the battles but rather survive the moment using simple resources and not making her aggressor look clumsy.
El personaje más bizarro y quien le da el toque desagradable pero impactante es el que es interpretado por (Tzu-Chiang Wang) le da vida a un hombre de negocios que piensa que puede romper barreras y sacar provecho de una situación por ser hombre. Esto hace que el personaje sea más brutal en todos los sentidos y haga que el espectador sienta lo que el director desea transmitir o por lo menos es lo que yo pude percibir durante toda la película.
Tenemos muchos más personajes que forman parte de un todo, pero que funcionan más como puente para darle paso a otras situaciones, aun así cada uno es mostrado sin censura y de maneras desagradables. Creo que cada personaje no escapa de esa realidad y que la vida o la felicidad no son partes esenciales de la película por ningún lado se siente y eso la hace oscura a pesar de la sangre y el tono que puedas percibir va más allá o eso quiero pensar.
No se la recomiendo a personas sensibles y con mente cerrada ya que esta película no es muy amiga de ellas y literalmente puede llegar a parecer desagradable en varias escenas sin importar el contexto de la misma. Creo que no es para todo público no funciona con las masas no es un producto comercial en ningún aspecto.
🎬 The most bizarre character and the one who gives it the unpleasant but shocking touch is the one played by (Tzu-Chiang Wang) who gives life to a businessman who thinks he can break barriers and take advantage of a situation because he is a man. This makes the character more brutal in every way and makes the viewer feel what the director wants to convey or at least that is what I could perceive throughout the movie.
We have many more characters that are part of a whole, but function more as a bridge to give way to other situations, yet each one is shown uncensored and in unpleasant ways. I think that each character does not escape that reality and that life or happiness are not essential parts of the film by any side is felt and that makes it dark despite the blood and tone that you can perceive goes beyond or so I want to think.
DO I RECOMMEND IT?
I do not recommend it to sensitive and closed minded people as this movie is not very friendly to them and can literally come to seem unpleasant in several scenes regardless of the context of it. I think it is not for all audiences it does not work with the masses it is not a commercial product in any way.
Quizás si has visto películas como el Hoyo mezclada con las que te mencione al inicio pueda que está la puedas digerir siempre y cuando superes las escenas de sangre y violencia de lo contrario veo difícil que la puedas digerir. Algunos pensarán que es algo extremo y sin sentido por el contexto y otros la sabrán llevar sin problema como cualquier otra película, lo importante es que se entienda el mensaje que está de fondo de esa forma la podrás disfrutar más.
Tomate el tiempo de digerir por partes y lo más importante no veas el tráiler de esta película ve con el mínimo de información para que te sorprenda.
🎬 Maybe if you have seen movies like Hoyo mixed with the ones I mentioned at the beginning you may be able to digest this one as long as you get over the scenes of blood and violence, otherwise I find it difficult to digest. Some will think it is something extreme and senseless because of the context and others will know how to handle it like any other movie, the important thing is that you understand the underlying message, that way you will be able to enjoy it more.
Take the time to digest it in parts and most importantly, don't watch the trailer of this movie, go with the minimum of information so that it will surprise you.
🎬 LO BUENO Y LO MALO
Algunas escenas me parecieron super innecesarias como si quisieran romper fibras sensibles con ningún motivo, se que era la intención como lo mencione al inicio solo que me pareció innecesario el uso constante.
Algunos personajes estaban fuera de la ecuación no aportaron nada a la trama y muchos menos a su desarrollo.

THE BAD
- Some scenes seemed to me super unnecessary as if they wanted to break sensitive fibers with no reason, I know it was the intention as I mentioned at the beginning but I found the constant use unnecessary.
- Some characters were out of the equation and contributed nothing to the plot and even less to its development.
A pesar de no ser 100% original o innovadora si posee algo que otras de su estilo no tienen y con esto quiero decir que no será predecible ni repetitiva.
Transmite un mensaje mientras te entretiene y esto que se entienda no todos vemos de la misma forma las películas y lo que gusta al resto no tiene que gustar al resto de los demás.
🎬 THE GOOD THING
- Despite not being 100% original or innovative it does have something that others of its style do not have and by this I mean that it will not be predictable or repetitive.
- It conveys a message while it entertains you and this is understood that not everyone sees movies the same way and what everyone else likes doesn't have to be liked by everyone else.

Woooooow violencia y sangre en grandes proporciones, no la he visto tampoco voy a indagar mucho pero seguramente la colocaré en la lista. así como lo mencionas no es una película para todo publico pero se ve bastante interesante.

Hola, amigo. Paso para informar que soy una de esas personas que no le gusta las películas sangrientas porque por más que este consciente de lo que veré me genera angustia y pesadilla. Las únicas películas que veo son de zombis porque es una manera de justificar matar al otro desde una visión de sobrevivencia (hambre y vida); al parecer esta tiene alguna similitud, pero me hizo ruido la mención de la "conciencia" de quienes poseen el virus; entonces son personas de mentalidad desequilibrada que afirman estar conscientes de sus actos y ven normal lo que hacen?
Si existe algo de conciencia ya que al ser contaminados entienden lo que están haciendo y quiénes son. Esa "Conciencia" prevalece y el impulso agresivo y sexual se multiplica por 3 y es en ese punto donde esta toda la locura.
