RE: [ENG/ESP] American Psycho & Why You Should NEVER Trust a Rich Guy

the movie was an adaptation of a novel

I'm one of the nerds that read the novel. It plays with your mind because out of nowhere the subject changes mid-sentence to something completely unrelated to what was being talked about. There are multiple times in the book that I had to go back and read the paragraph from the start because I thought I had missed something. I think the author was just trying to make us feel what it was like to be in Bateman's head and it was effective.

I really liked this film but then again, I don't mind gore. Would you believe that they were originally considering Leonardo DiCaprio for the lead role? I'm glad that didn't happen.

Oh wow, that sounds even more interesting than what I would have imagined, maybe I should pick up the novel and give it a shoot. As for the leading role, I think that Christian Bale did an amazing job at portraying the essence that was needed to play Bateman and now I can't see it any other way than that.

the book isn't terribly long and it differs from the movie quite a bit. Even though you already know the ending I think it is a worthwhile read.

I love reading so it's more than enough reasons to do it one day, thanks for your comment. 😄
