I'm not much into psychological thrillers or series, but this one looks to be interesting.
I totally agree with what you mentioned at the beginning, although I'm not going to make a big deal about it either. I'm not Catholic, but if we knew more or less what was going on inside a conclave from documentaries, although I would like to see it on tape, it would be more entertaining.
I have always been struck by the secrecy behind the Vatican. Personally I do not trust anything that is said there, it is not good to generalize but I have no doubt that not all cardinals and clerics work in the best way. I think I am going to watch it today, I was waiting for it to come out.
There is a series called The Borgias with Jeremy Irons that is incredible, it touches a lot on this topic, I recommend it!

The fact that “Conclave” explores the power dynamics and ambition among the cardinals sounds intriguing. I like how you mention that, although it is fiction, it feels like there is a real basis to the human conflicts portrayed. Also, the cast is impressive and certainly their acting can elevate the story. The mix of drama and suspense you mention seems to be a big draw, and the fact that the film doesn't skimp on showing dark aspects of the church adds to its boldness. I'm definitely going to watch it!
Yes, I think this film brings different things and I am particularly attracted to this type of dynamics in which the church is involved from a negative point of view.
I have also wondered what is behind those doors of the Vatican, since it is something so impressive and curious, beyond those, this type of film always leaves that mystery and shows a reality that can be something to talk about and at the same time go revealing things, I caught the attention of the actors who live in it, so that place will always be a mystery.
It is precisely this mystery and the secrecy surrounding the church that makes this a very interesting film. It would be great if you see it and share your review. Regards!

I have already seen it and it is truly incredible how the Vatican world is managed.
