Highlighting this community and sharing the wonderful posts that are featured within it is something we've been wanting to improve upon for a while now. Currently, we already run daily highlights for posts that we believe are excellent and deserve more recognition, we also share between 5% - 10% of the post rewards with each person featured as an additional incentive for such efforts and contributions to the community.
For the longest time, we've wanted to get a token of appreciation up for those we feature, for those that contribute frequently and make the discussion of movies and television shows here on Hive so fun. Today, we've finally launched a community badge! A new step towards many upcoming changes planned for the community to amplify the word of the community and Hive.
For the most part, the badge is reserved for those who are featured in our daily highlight posts. These people are manually selected by the team for numerous criteria: creativity, community engagement, and writing. Though we also will hand out the badge to a select few who partake in our contests, of which we'll be ramping up in frequency. With another contest coming very soon!
Right now, only a few people have been added to the badge, but that will change as time goes on and we continue to add community members to it. It may take some time, so don't take it personally if you do tick all of our boxes and haven't received it. Our Discord is featured at the bottom of this post if you have any additional questions.
If you receive the badge, it'll suddenly appear on your profile page, and you'll receive a notification on Peakd that you're now being followed by the badge. You will not have to submit anything.
As mentioned above, we're to increase our frequency of contests. Contests are a great way for us all to discover each other and engage. We feel that alongside the @poshtoken project, there's a lot of room for growth in engagement that isn't strictly on-chain.
We've finally taken to using Twitter properly, as we begin focus on engagement with the community and highlighting your posts to the widest demographic we can possibly reach. Through this, we aim to increase the number of eyes reaching both the community and Hive. Feel free to join us over on Twitter, and tag us with your posts! We have a few additional concepts in early planning stages that we believe should amplify outreach and engagement across Hive and off-chain, but these are a bit too early to begin discussing.
Following from this, we also expect to add more support for the Twitter sharing side of things in our Discord server, a link to that is found at the bottom of this post. We look forward to utilising our curation trail and social media to promote, engage with, and support Hive. The curation trail is rather important to us, for it allows our community members to contribute to this growth and be rewarded for it with Hive, simply for just following it via Hive.vote.

I remember the first time I posted on the Movies And TV show; It was a small and newly opened community. It fascinated me from the first moment, and since then I made it my favorite place. Only here I can talk freely about what I like: movies.

Thanks for sticking by us for so long! It's been a really interesting ride so far. Crazy to see that we're now at 5.5k people when back when I created this I hardly expected it to get over 100.
I've got so many ideas I'm ready to start getting out there, and making this place far more engaging and fun for us all. The badge is a little start in that direction, and a little thanks to everyone that makes this place what it is. :)

Feels like forever ago! I still have the same goal too. @eeks may have left but I'm still here.
It's strange to think of how few people there were back then that posted about movies and tv shows. People like me and you really have built this community on Hive from the ground up, barely even from a seed. Even those that have left or never even joined us on Hive after the transition from Steem have no idea how much they contributed to what we now have.
I'm really thankful for people like you, that have contributed and managed to stick around through not only the community's lows, but Hive's attempts to get up on its own feet. At this point it's much bigger than us, and it's incredible how early it still is.
One of the mods said it already but join the Discord server if you can. I think soon we might need some additional help in areas and it's always nice having some friendly faces around in that event.
I hope very soon to be very active in Discord and to be always available for the community, there are things that prevent me from being more connected, I'm talking about being able to see the many publications, help new people, comment more, but when I have the time I start to do it.

I already said it on the discord, but now I say it here, I love that the whole community grows, its seem like a small things, but its not, that badge is something special, as a regular participant of this community but for a short time, because I am relatively new in Hive and i really due to my lack of expertise it still took me 3 days to do a review hahaha, I hope to improve sometime, but I don't want to overlook any detail, so I think I'll still take my time to do it right.
And even if im new here, i feel very proud because the community has its badge and because it grows every day more, and I look forward to these next competitions, I am very excited to participate.

I noticed your posts almost immediately and was surprised at how good they were. You pretty much came out of nowhere and blew us all away by writing such wonderful posts in such depth!
How nice, 💞 thank you very much @moviesonhive!!! I make them with love and passion, I want them to be good not only here in the community, I always want to leave some message for when people read my blog and always find something to learn and grow in the movies I see. I really love the ability that cinema has to teach, I deeply admire everything that is possible to transmit through cinema. That's why I do the reviews, I hope to improve, for now I'm focusing on not saying spoilers, it's hard, but I know I'll get there. The internet sometimes fails in my area and prevents me from watching the movies I want to, but I will remain constant because I want to grow with the community. I really love you all and you have earned an important place in my heart. 🥰
One more incentive to enjoy our movies and share it in community, I like it and I will try to be more active to be worthy of having it, greetings.
