From his humble beginnings, street-wise Yang Guo (Xiaoming Huang) is passed from one respected master to another, but none of them teach him kung fu. While escaping a torturous experience under Zhao Zhijing of the Quan Zhen Sect, he meets Xiaolongnu (Yiffi Liu), a girl who becomes his kung fu master and eventually the love of his life.

Strengths of the series from my perspective include an engaging storyline and beautiful visuals of the action scenes. However, some scenes seemed prolonged without meaning. Some relationships appeared complex.

I saw this series in its 2006 and 2014 versions, it was great, it is one of the series that I have seen more than ten times. The 2006 version is the best version that came with great actors and attractive graphics.
Another version with new actors will come next year, which I am personally waiting to see.
I would like to say that the general story of all versions is the same, but the acting and special effects have improved over time.
The series (V.2006) received an award in China for Best TV Series in 2006.
