I have yet to see this series because just as you mention, the first season generated a lot of furor among viewers and I particularly liked it, because it speaks of the rawness, of what people are capable of doing for money and for their lives.

I'm not that much of a Korean movie lover either, but this series seemed to me to hit the mark. Very good review, Dina.
