The Penthouse Season 3 Episode 7-9: Twisted Past

In the previous post, I mentioned some hints from The Penthouse Season 3 and the background story from previous seasons. I have also included my speculation and theory about it. However, after watching episodes 7-9, there's something far darker than I could have imagined.

Spoiler Alert

I followed this drama because the storyline compels me to watch it. I don't usually follow any K-drama unless there's something mysterious to it. I think many "stretched" K-drama ends up either well or poorly. But The Penthouse is one of an exception. The story is like peeling several layers of someone's past.

In Episode 7-9, we are all suddenly introduced to the possibility of Shim Shu Ryeon having twins. And they are also revealing the past of Joo Dan Tae. It all makes sense why he has Japanese items, a figurine, a tatami mat, and his habit of drinking tea and sitting like the Japanese. You will find it out in these episodes.

I have just finished episodes 7-9 in one sitting. It was satisfying to watch finally someone in the story got the payback they deserve. And also, Joo Dan Tae, the main village in the story, seems to be living among people who will stab his back. So everyone is against Joo Dan Tae and is looking to get their piece of revenge. I can't wait to see how these people do it to him.

Logan and Alex were nowhere to be seen in these episodes. That's one of the mysteries that I want to know. " Where is logan/ alex?". But, unfortunately, I only learn from these episodes that he gave his secret wealth key to Oh Yoon Hee. Logan gave her so that Oh Yoon Hee could open a foundation similar to Cheong Ah Art School, a school for talented artists and especially opera singers. But will Oh Yoon Hee do that? As Logan hinted that she "has the good and bad" in her.

Some of my curiosities have been answered in these episodes. But now, we are introduced to new stories about Shim Su Ryeon's twins. There's also the story of the first death in Hera Palace linked to Jenny's father. What has happened?

Jenny's father was imprisoned on behalf of Joo Dan Tae. So, that reveals the murderer was him. However, the question is, "why", " what did that woman do that caused Joo Dan Tae murdered her?"

So more mysteries are surrounding this drama that needs to be revealed. I have never really passionately following K-drama like this, but I am at the point in my life where I enjoyed watching it.

At this point, I can only wish to see Joo Dan Tae got the payback he deserves unless the producer and the team production are going to start another season for it. I won't be watching it if they create another season of it as it could be just the same premise as the other seasons.

While waiting for more episodes of the penthouse to be released, I also watched a K-drama called Taxi Driver. It's another interesting thriller drama with a very subjective morality approach. It's the kind of things I like to watch where morality is at play, and human has to make choices. Of course, it's not always good or bad in life, but there's also something in between. And morality can be subjective too. So, if you are into similar dramas, check them out.

Oh yasss...I am a big fan of kdramas and I am currently following a whole lot (series) right now, penthouse included. Lots of secret and puzzles in there, they keep coming up with surprises. 😂 Taxi Driver was another good series...I enjoyed watching it. Nice review. 😃

I just finished watching Taxi driver last night. I hope they will make another series, taxi driver 2 because it's just so entertaining. I mean, it's not monotone because Taxi Driver always introduces a character with its background story and its problem solving and they are not related at all. Though some of it are related, majority aren't which makes it quite a big of a world. What would you recommend me to watch other than Taxi?
