Este es un filme que utiliza muy bien la animación Stop-Motion con efectos 3D, es una historia que puede presentarse como infantil, pero realmente pienso que va más hacia el terror e incluso podemos notar algo de terror psicológico, ya que la narrativa se estructura sobre una personificación familiar paralela en la vida de Coraline, sin embargo, es un filme que puede entretener tanto a jóvenes como aquellos adultos que siempre deseamos ver una buena e intrigante historia.
Lo más notable de Coraline, seguidamente de las estupendas técnicas de animación, es el mensaje. Un mensaje que se puede ver desde dos puntos de vista, pero que llegan a un mismo fin, es ese mensaje de precaución que incluso dota de un poco más de terror al filme.
Los niños como Coraline tienen una vida algo aburrida, con padres trabajando todo el tiempo y que no les prestan mucha atención. Los padres se excusan que es por su bienestar sin percatarse de que incluso no prestan atención a aspectos como la salud o los intereses personales de la niña. Como padre, noté que el primer segmento es para nosotros, el prestarle atención a los hijos y saber cómo se sienten, que se sientan en todo momento acompañados

En cuanto a los niños, este filme otorga el mensaje de valorar a los padres, quizás no sean los padres perfectos o más divertidos, pero la familia es el tesoro más grande que existe y que a pesar de que los padres puedan notarse distantes un poco, ellos vuelven a dar el mismo amor, no hay que buscar escapar de lo que al final de cuentas en una hermosa familia.

Un filme que parece infantil, se convierte en una travesía compleja y terrorífica con el correr de los minutos, ciertamente un filme que sorprende a pesar de que es del 2009.

Children like Coraline have a rather dull life, with parents working all the time and not paying much attention to them. The parents make excuses that it is for their welfare without realising that they don't even pay attention to aspects such as the child's health or personal interests. As a parent, I noticed that the first segment is for us to pay attention to our children and to know how they feel, to make them feel accompanied at all times.
This story gives Coraline options to live a better life, but as parents we sense that it will not end well. The reflection of her parents in funnier, more attentive and loving versions blinds the girl; however, she realises that she is living in a world of fantasies.
The film gives us to understand that children can try to escape from this kind of situations marked by lack of affection and attention, they can develop fantastic worlds, or they can look for ways of escape in the real world, in which they can end up deceived and alienated from their family, that is the hidden terror that the film hides and that even leads to reflection.
As for the children, this film gives the message of valuing parents, they may not be the perfect or funniest parents, but family is the greatest treasure there is and that even though parents may seem distant a little, they give the same love again, we should not seek to escape from what at the end of the day is a beautiful family.
