RE: Beast of No Nation 2015 Review ("A boy has hands to strangle")

I liked this movie very much. The story is devastating, from the beginning we see this horrible war in which children are used. In Latin America something similar happened in the civil war in El Salvador, children were kidnapped and trained to fight in an absurd war. A very raw film with scenes that shocked me.

Sort:

The issue of child soldiers is something that needs to be addressed as quick as possible. It’s sad to think that as we sit in the comforts of our homes many kids are out there risking their lives in senseless wars. I like that this film brings this issue to our attention with all its details. The story got me sad and angry at the same time. For sure, it was a film that was put together very well.
