I usually watch a lot of highly rated series. I was watching this series on the suggestion of an elder brother. Brother was saying that the series is very underrated. After watching, I realized that the series is really underrated. The story seems different from other crime thriller genre series. And I have not seen any post about this series in the group so far. So I tried to give a little review myself.
I really wonder why there is not much discussion about such a good series? I will not compare with any other series, but there is more discussion about Money Heist, game of thrones, breaking bad than there is no discussion about Banshee. But I think the series is on par with Banshee, if not better.

Banshee is an amazing series of Cinemax.. After watching this series, one thing came to mind first is - This show is criminally underrated. Beautiful story, strong character build up with a nice mix of brutal action-violence.
After serving 15 years in prison, the main character enters a "Limited Town" called Banshee. Incidentally, after being indirectly involved in a crime, he begins to introduce himself as the Sheriff of the city under the identity of "Lucas Hood". From then on, the story moves forward and later on. It becomes interesting..Originally the protagonist came to Banshee to settle some scores from the past,,but he himself became a part of the city.After taking over the responsibility of Sherrif, he started solving different cases one by one in his own way.
Anyone who loves fast paced series will love this. From the first episode, the story moves forward very quickly, along with some of the past stories of the characters are seen slowly.. In almost every episode, there were different stories, along with several fragmented stories, the main story moves forward.
The plot of the series is very well-organized in a well-organized way. The conflict between each group, the proper development of the characters, the relationship of one character with another character - these things are very beautifully shown in the series. The city of Banshee is basically fictional. ,, a town is told here where there will be Native Americans, some ethnic groups, extremist groups and some touches of Amish culture, in addition there are drugs.. These issues are also accurately shown in the story of the series.. The series shows the proper development of the characters.. The director has managed to connect the small characters with the main story well.. I read a comment about this series on YouTube "This series makes you feel like someone else which you are not". Honestly, this thing is one of the highlights of the series. Because it can be seen that almost every character is hiding himself and trying to be something else - I like this theme of the series. And if we talk about the characters, first of all we have to talk about the main character "Lucas Hood". Anyone will like his charm, attitude, small talk style. Also the villain character Kai proctor was impeccable.. He is a worthy example of a perfect criminal. And "Job" character is the funniest Charismatic and at the same time the most important technically. The female characters Rebecca, Carrie were also outstanding.. In addition, Kai's bodyguard Burton was a terrible character.. And among the rest, Deputy- Brock, Siobhan, Emmet also liked them a lot.
Talking about the performance of the cast, Antony Starr comes first. He is absolutely amazing in the role of Sherrif. Also Ulrich Thomsen (Kai Proctor) in the role of the main villain is very good. Ivana Miličević, Lili Simmons in the female role were also good. In addition, Hoon Lee's performance in the charismatic character "Job" is the best. I like it..I have already said about the direction, very well-organized..and the screenplay is fast enough, so there is less chance of getting boring.. Sound + BGM was good.. The most interesting aspect of this series is its Action.. There is a lot of violence and brutal action scenes throughout the series.. The action scenes did not seem illogical at all, they were shown in a realistic manner.
There are a lot of 18+ scenes throughout the series. I liked the first 2 seasons the most, because in those two seasons there was more adventure and thrill. It seems a little different in the last season, because almost throughout the season, there is a serial killing going on. Although the makers gave a satisfying ending at the end.
** Finally I will say that I like this series in one word Excellent.. It is a series to hold with the screen. I watched it with such a feeling that I felt like I was in that Banshee city. Thinking that the series is over. I won't say that this series is very high level or GOT, BB or similar level, but it is a perfect series for pure entertainment. Those who haven't seen it yet can watch it, I hope you won't be disappointed.**

Immediately when i saw HBO i was already picturing game of thrones and sin city.. haha. Because i know they basically treat on sex scenes and sexual violence. Well i have seen this one before and i understand how people feel about sex scenes a times when you dont make it right. Take for instance movies like 365 days today. I wouldn't say i hated the movie tho but it was a complete waste of time and resources to me because i didn't feel any story lines and didn't learn a dime from the whole movie full of sex and pleasure.. i guess that is the same thing banshee may be facing too that makes it underestimated.
I totally agree with you. I have watched the movie 365 days only after watching it. There are other movies that have nothing but sex, which are a waste of time for me. But in serials there is a story, there is a flow, not only sex, but the amount can be more or less, I have seen many serials. Take for example, Prison Break - it didn't even have the smell of sex, yet one of the best, has done 6 seasons without these, there are two scenes, if not shown, the subject would have remained unfinished.
