Saludos querido lector de Hive que amas las series tanto como yo. Hoy quiero contarte sobre la primera temporada de esta serie que encontrarás en Netflix, a la cual llegué por casualidad, y después de ver el primer capítulo me atrapó por completo, porque la trama es tan divertida que a veces ni notas el tema tan profundo del que se está hablando.

Inspirada en el libro de BB Easton que lleva el nombre de “44 capítulos sobre 4 hombres” Sex/Life se presenta a sí misma como: La historia de una mujer casada con el hombre perfecto, madre de dos hijos, que tiene la vida soñada por muchas y aun así no deja de pensar en su de hace ocho años.

La verdad es que no sabía en qué comunidad publicar sobre esta serie, puesto que trata un tema ligado a la maternidad que creo que es muy importante para cualquier mujer, pero como a fin de cuentas es una serie, entendí que este era el lugar de este review.

Protagonizada por Sara Shahi (The L Word) y Adam Demos (Falling inn love), quienes le dan vida a los personajes de Billy Conelly, la estudiante de postgrado en psicología que se muda a Nueva York con el sueño de salir de su vida de pueblo y entrar a una vida de aventura y desenfreno, allí conoce al guapísimo Brad Simon, productor musical con un torrentoso pasado y la típica actitud de fuck boy dañado que hace que todas queramos arreglarlo, con quien tiene una relación bastante toxica pero hasta el techo de pasión y sexo desenfrenado, que no termina bien, este hecho termina llevándola a los brazos de Mikel Vogel (Under the dome) quien interpreta a Cooper Conelly, el hombre respetuoso y educado, con buenos modales que es todo lo contrario a Brad, sin embargo con el paso del tiempo Cooper se convertirá en el esposo obsesionado con el trabajo, padre perfecto que se ha dedicado a hacer que su vida parezca el ideal aunque ha dejado a un lado los deseos sexuales de su esposa Billy, quien empieza a fantasear en su diario sobre su ex.

Según mi opinión el tema principal a tratar en esta serie, es la cruda realidad de como se siente una mujer después de ser madre, me gusta mucho que no romantizan la maternidad ni es todo arcoíris y burbujas de colores, te muestran que existen sus altos y bajos, que a pesar del amor a los hijos, existen también sentimientos contrarios hacia lo que significa este cambio en la vida de una mujer, te exponen muy de frente que el ser mamá no te anula como mujer, que sigues teniendo libido sexual y quieres sentirte deseada, al fin y al cabo supongo que tratan de mostrar que recuperar la relación de pareja con niños de por medio nunca es fácil, veremos en esta serie algunos tipos de mamás y de parejas, y una que otra técnica que usan las parejas para mantener viva esa pasión a veces dejamos ir con la convivencia.

In my opinion, the main theme of this series is the harsh reality of how a woman feels after becoming a mother, I like that they do not romanticize motherhood nor is it all rainbows and colorful bubbles, they show you that there are ups and downs, that despite the love for the children, there are also contrary feelings towards what this change in a woman's life means, they show you that being a mom does not cancel you out as a woman, that you still have a sexual libido and want to feel desired, at the end of the day I guess they try to show that recovering a relationship with children is never easy, we will see in this series some types of moms and couples, and one or another technique that couples use to keep alive that passion that sometimes we let go with the coexistence.

Si señores, hay muchas escenas de sexo y desnudos en Sex/Life, escenas muy explicitas, es una serie bastante +18, lo agradable es que son buenas escenas, elegantes, de buen gusto y muy sensuales que pueden calentar a cualquiera, Sarah Shahi y Adam Demos tienen una química tan real e innegable, pero una de las razones por la cual continué con la serie es la manera tan adecuada de la protagonista de escribir en su diario personal, el cual termina leyendo su marido y ella cree que puede manejar su relación a través de este, usándolo como algún tipo de experimento conductual, espero que te animes a verla ya que la segunda temporada ya está siendo filmada!

Yes people, there are a lot of sex scenes and nudity in Sex/Life, very explicit scenes, it's a pretty +18 series, the nice thing is that they are good scenes, elegant, tasteful and very sensual that can heat anyone, Sarah Shahi and Adam Demos have such a real and undeniable chemistry, but one of the reasons why I continued with the series is the very appropriate way the main character writes in her diary, which her husband ends up reading and she thinks she can manage their relationship through it, using it as some kind of behavioral experiment, I hope you are encouraged to watch it as the second season is already being filmed!
