I've been planning to watch this since it was in the making but I never did.
I love Scorsese and the cast all together is marvelous, however the 3 hour long movie puts me off.
Do you think that those 3 hours were monotonous or necessary for the plot?
I believe deep down I haven't watched it because I don't want it to be a mess...

I also thought the same as you, that 3 hours is too long, and that in this type of film so much time would make it boring, but as I expressed in the post, the film does not bore you, it lasts 3 hours because it is necessary to tell the story. story in a complete way. If you like Scorsese's style, you won't regret seeing it.

It has a beautiful rhythm, Good dialogues, acting and editing so the 3 hours duration doesn't really feel that heavy. Of course, it all depends on your taste.
