Top Gun: Maverick is a movie that came out in the year 2022 and I must say that I do not know the reason why I had not seen it before, as it is a genre that has always caught my attention, where we see a lot of action, but the drama can not miss, where we see a story that continues with respect to the first installment, which makes it much more interesting. The film was directed by filmmaker Joseph Kosinski, while the script was in charge of a pretty complete team, integrated by Peter Craig, Christopher McQuarrie, Justin Marks, Eric Warren Singer, Ashley Miller, Zack Stentz and Ehren Kruger. A great team behind this iconic sequel to a movie, a story that had a great success in the past and I must say that the movie was quite good.

Top Gun: Maverick es una película que salió en el año 2022 y debo decir que no sé la razón por la cual no la había visto antes, ya que es un género que siempre me ha llamado la atención, donde vemos mucha acción, pero el drama no puede faltar, donde vemos una historia que continúa con respecto a la primera entrega, lo cual lo hace mucho más interesante. La película estuvo dirigida por el cineasta Joseph Kosinski, mientras que el guion estuvo a cargo de un equipo bastante completo, integrado por Peter Craig, Christopher McQuarrie, Justin Marks, Eric Warren Singer, Ashley Miller, Zack Stentz y Ehren Kruger. Un gran equipo detrás de esta icónica secuela de una película, historia que tuvo un gran éxito en el pasado y que la verdad debo decir que la película quedó bastante bien.

Captain Pete “Maverick” Mitchell must train a group of pilots who must perform a very risky mission, being the right one for this job. We know that Pete is someone who loves to fly a fighter plane, the transition is difficult for him, although as always he is someone who has talent for what he does, but as in the first installment, he is a man who usually gets into a lot of trouble, which is why he was not promoted like his peers, despite being the best at work.

La trama de esta película nos muestra como uno de los mejores pilotos de la marina de los Estados Unidos, Maverick quien es interpretado nuevamente por Tom Cruise y no podía ser de otra manera, vuelva a la academia de pilotos de combates Top Gun, pero en esta oportunidad como instructor. El Capitan Pete "Maverick" Mitchell debe entrenar a un grupo de pilotos que deben realizar misión bastante arriesgada, siendo el indicado para esta labor. I must say that I like this kind of film more those where the story is more based on real facts, something that does not happen with Top Gun, although I must say that despite this I enjoyed the film, as it shows us the action, drama and romance, since we see a meeting between Maverick and “Penny” Benjamin who owns a bar and is a single mother, and apparently they had a relationship when he was young, by the fact that it is mentioned in the 1986 film. It's good to know more about Penny and how their love story continued, I think it was a great success. I liked the story, it was pretty good, I enjoyed it a lot.

Debo decir, que de esta clase de filme me gustan más aquellas donde la historia sea más basada en hechos reales, algo que no ocurre con Top Gun, aunque debo decir que a pesar de ello disfrute mucho de la película, ya que nos muestra la acción, el drama y también el romance, puesto que nos vemos con un encuentro entre Maverick y "Penny" Benjamin quien posee un bar y es madre soltera, y al parecer tuvieron una relación cuando este era joven, por el hecho de que se hace mención en la película de 1986. Es bueno conocer más sobre Penny y como continuaba su historia de amor, considero que fue un gran acierto. La historia me gustó, estuvo bastante buena, la disfruté mucho.

We also have other secondary characters that were very well played by each one of the cast, so I would like to highlight the work of the direction and production of the film. Regarding the photography, the scenery also stands out, although we know that the film is in the military field and perhaps does not stand out as much as in other films, but what is important is that the presentation was well done.

El cast de la película es otro aspecto que debo destacar, con el papel protagónico de Tom Cruise, donde Penny fue interpretada por la actriz Jennifer Connelly, mientras que Miles Teller hizo de Bradley "Rooster" Bradshaw. También tenemos otros personajes secundarios que fueron muy bien interpretados por cada uno que conformaron el reparto, por lo cual dedo destacar la labor de la dirección y producción de la película. En lo que respecto a la fotografía, también destaca, también, los escenarios, aunque bueno, sabemos que la película es en el ámbito militar y tal vez no destaca tanto como en otras películas, pero lo que importante es la presentación fue bien hecha.

The soundtrack is one of the least notable things in the production and yet it is still quite good, the background themes in the moments of action, drama and romance. By this last I don't mean to say that the music is bad, but I feel that it is the least outstanding thing in Top Gun, Maverick.

Los efectos especiales es otro aspecto que debo destacar de la película, escenas muy bien representadas, sobre todo en los vuelos con las aeronaves, aunque me fuese gustado ver otros planos aparte de la cabina y del exterior de los F-18, aunque también vuelve la nostalgia al ver nuevamente un F-14 que era muy emblemático para la armada de los Estados Unidos en la primera película de Top Gun, Pasión y gloria. La banda sonora es de lo que menos destaca en la producción y aun así está bastante bien, los temas de fondo en los momentos de acción, drama y romance. Con esto no último no quiero decir que la música esté mal, sino que siento que es lo menos resalta en Top Gun, Maverick.

Top Gun: Maverick is a good movie, with a story that lovers of action films like, it also brings back good memories after his first installment in 1986, even the 2022 I think is a little better in terms of story and the end that we could appreciate. It is a movie that I recommend, it is a 9/10 from my point of view.
