Nunca había sido tan complicado, hasta ahora que definitivamente no sé cómo expresar toda esta increíble sensación de asombro a este nuevo trabajo de Andy Muschietti. Que puedo decirles, lo que hizo con Welcome to Derry, es una verdadera obra maestra del universo de Stephen King. Todo un verdadero escándalo de terror y cuando creías que la industria del cine estaba paralizada llegan y te asombran de esta manera. Aun después de la gran popularidad de Stranger things y su última temporada, nadie dijo no a ver esta curiosa historia de Derry.

I have brought to this community more than just professional reviews; I have shared my personal opinions on new and old film productions. It has never been so difficult, until now, to express this incredible feeling of awe at Andy Muschietti's new work. What can I say? What he did with Welcome to Derry is a true masterpiece of the Stephen King universe. It's a real horror sensation, and just when you thought the film industry was at a standstill, they come along and amaze you like this. Even after the huge popularity of Stranger Things and its latest season, no one said no to watching this curious story of Derry.

Para empezar a ver la historia de este pueblo tan extraño decidí refrescarme la memoria con las películas de IT sobre todo, por si tenían alguna conexión no perderme esos detalles tan importantes que de seguro podría ser útiles. Welcome to Derry es una serie precuela complementaria a la adaptación cinematográfica de dos partes y ahora, precisamente de los orígenes de Pennywise. Lo cual de verdad WOW.

To begin watching the story of this strange town, I decided to refresh my memory with the IT movies, especially in case they had any connection, so I wouldn't miss any important details that could surely be useful. Welcome to Derry is a prequel series that complements the two-part film adaptation and now, precisely, the origins of Pennywise. Which is truly WOW.

Quizás mi mayor emoción es que solo recuerdo a IT como aquella primera película de terror no acta para niños que logré ver sin la supervisión de mis padres y me pude considerar desde ese momento un fan de la película, además, conocía a lo que sería uno de los mejores escritores de la historia del terror cinematográfico. Sí, por supuesto que me refiero a Stephen King. Así que bueno, tenía mucha curiosidad por ver qué se sacaban de la manga para seguir explotando el universo creado por el escritor y vaya que me dejaron con la boca abierta.

Perhaps my greatest excitement is that I only remember IT as that first horror movie not suitable for children that I managed to see without my parents' supervision, and from that moment on I considered myself a fan of the film. What's more, I knew who would become one of the best writers in the history of horror cinema. Yes, of course I'm referring to Stephen King. So, I was very curious to see what they would come up with to continue exploiting the universe created by the writer, and boy, did they leave me speechless.

Con respecto al elenco que participó en la serie no hubo nadie que se escapará de la perfección. Incluso los actores más jóvenes quienes realizaron un trabajo impresionante al capturar la mezcla de valentía, curiosidad y vulnerabilidad de sus personajes. Su química y compañerismo fue clave para que la historia pudiera ser captada creíblemente y emocionalmente. No cabe duda que la selección fue la indicada. En el caso de los actores más veteranos, por así decirles, aportaron una solidez y una presencia escénica que enmarcó las experiencias de los protagonistas con autoridad y empatía. Sus interpretaciones enriquecieron la narrativa y dieron sin duda, increíbles actuaciones. Aquí la selección de actores tampoco estuvo errónea. De ambas partes, se percibe un alto nivel de preparación y compromiso en las audiciones y grabaciones, lo que se tradujo en un resultado de rendimiento cohesionado y creíble a lo largo de la serie.

With regard to the cast that participated in the series, there was no one who escaped perfection. Even the younger actors did an impressive job of capturing their characters' mix of courage, curiosity, and vulnerability. Their chemistry and camaraderie were key to making the story believable and emotionally compelling. There is no doubt that the selection was the right one. In the case of the more veteran actors, so to speak, they brought a solidity and stage presence that framed the protagonists' experiences with authority and empathy. Their performances enriched the narrative and were undoubtedly incredible. Here, too, the casting choices were spot on. On both sides, a high level of preparation and commitment was evident in the auditions and recordings, which translated into a cohesive and credible performance throughout the series.

Siempre mantendré este tipo de contenido cinematográfico fuera de los spoiler pues como no me gustan, porque compartir con otros lo que posiblemente tampoco les gusta. Lo que puedo decir para finalizar e invitarlos a ver esta gran obra de horror, arte, nostalgia, miedo. Una explosión absoluta de elementos de terror y muchas imágenes surrealistas. Yo le daría el premio mayor a Welcome to Derry pero aun Stranger things puede sorprendernos con su final. NO lo sé, pero ambas series están cerrando un 2025 con un gran espectáculo.

I will always keep this type of cinematic content free of spoilers because I don't like them, and I don't want to share something with others that they might not like either. What I can say to conclude is to invite you to watch this great work of horror, art, nostalgia, and fear. It's an absolute explosion of horror elements and many surreal images. I would give the top prize to Welcome to Derry, but Stranger Things may still surprise us with its ending. I don't know, but both series are closing out 2025 with a great show.
