For many years, a large number of war films have been released, many of which have been based on real events and leave much to think about. The director's work also comes into play in order to create something that is very realistic without losing the essence. That is why a film of this genre known as Der Tiger was recently released, which presents a different approach, very contrary to others, where the main focus is the despair created by being trapped in the midst of war. It is a short but very valuable production, and from the very first minutes, it presents war from a place that only the bravest and most skilled have control over: a war tank, a very powerful and important weapon.

The film takes us to a war that took place in a part of Germany and transports us directly inside a German tank. Once there, the real adventure of this great film begins, and we ask ourselves, how long can they hold out inside a tank? In addition, other elements such as the solid steel that surrounds them, the constant noise of the engine, the darkness, and the mud create a feeling of fear and stress. Not everyone would have the strength to be locked up there for many miles, and that makes the film interesting. Furthermore, every movement puts people's lives at stake, so every order, every silence, and every glance carries a weight that grows as the journey progresses.

Durante muchos años se han estrenado una gran cantidad de películas de guerra, la cual muchas han sido basadas en hechos reales y dejan mucho de que pensar, además entra en juego el trabajo del director para así poder crear algo que sea muy realista y sin perder la esencia. Por eso hace poco se estrenó una de ese género conocida como Der Tiger, cuál presenta un enfoque distinto y muy contrario a otras, donde lo principal es la desesperación que se crea al estar encerrado en plena guerra. Es una producción corta, pero muy valiosa y desde los primeros minutos nos presenta la guerra desde un lugar que solo los más valientes, capacitados tienen en control y es desde un tanque de guerra, un arma muy poderosa e importante.

La película nos lleva a una guerra que ocurrió en una parte de Alemania y nos traslada directamente al interior de un tanque alemán y, una vez ahí es donde ocurre la verdadera aventura de esta gran película y nos preguntamos ¿Cuánto tiempo podrá resistir dentro de un tanque?, ademas otros elementos como el sólido acero que los rodea, el ruido constante del motor, la oscuridad y el barro crean una sensación de miedo, estrés y no todo mundo tendría la fuerza para estar allí encerrados durante muchos kilómetros y eso permite que la película se vuelva interesante. Además, cada movimiento está en juego la vida de las personas, por eso cada orden, cada silencio y cada mirada cargan un peso que va creciendo conforme avanza el viaje.

This is a production with a tense, almost uncomfortable pace, as if it wants the viewer to feel the passage of time just as the characters feel it while locked up there. Another thing that adds value to the plot is showing the harsh reality of the fatigue and fear experienced by soldiers in a tank, which makes you admire all the work they do for their country, as well as that constant feeling of being trapped in something that can no longer be controlled and from which there is no turning back. Therefore, as everything progresses, it shows that the real enemy is not always outside. It is in doubt, in memory loss, in confinement, and often war does not transform them suddenly, but wears them down slowly.

Each of the performances plays a major role and carries a great deal of responsibility, being there in a situation like that, where they are sure to keep many secrets. The dialogue in the film also allows them to be understandable, so that each of the messages can be conveyed, especially how they use words, gestures, or simply a pause to give up in moments when everything is destroyed.

Esta es una producción que cuenta con un ritmo tenso, casi incómodo, como si quisiera que el espectador sienta el paso del tiempo tal como lo sienten sus personajes al estar allí encerrados. Otra de las cosas que le da valor a la trama es mostrar esa cruda verdad del cansancio y miedo que presentan los soldados al estar en un tanque y por eso es admirar todo ese trabajo que hacen por un país, como también esa sensación constante de estar atrapado en algo que ya no se puede controlar y no hay vuelta atrás. Por ende a medida que todo avanza, muestra que el verdadero enemigo no siempre está afuera. Está en la duda, en la pérdida de la memoria, el encierro y muchas veces la guerra no los transforma de golpe, los va desgastando lentamente.

Cada una de las actuaciones tiene un gran papel y responsabilidad al estar allí en una situación como esa, donde seguro guardarán muchos secretos. Como también los diálogos en la película permite que sean entendibles y así poder llegar cada uno de los mensajes y sobre todo cómo usan palabras, gestos o simplemente una pausa para darse por vencidos en momentos donde todo esta destruido.

I really liked the outcome of this film, especially how they recreated part of that war in Germany. Furthermore, from the perspective of a tank, it makes it much more exciting, being a slow-paced story, but very honest with what it presents. It also leaves you with an uncomfortable feeling, with questions that are not fully answered and with the certainty that war, rather than destroying cities, wears people down, where many of the soldiers who have to operate a war tank are left not with the noise of explosions, but with that silence and that feeling of having been locked up, for a while, in a place where the war cannot be seen, but is felt every second.

Me gusto mucho el resultado de esta película y sobre todo como recrearon parte de esa guerra de Alemania, además desde el punto de vista de un tanque permite que sea mucho más emocionante, siendo una historia lenta, pero muy honesta con lo que presenta. Además, deja una sensación incómoda, con preguntas que no se responden del todo y con la certeza de que la guerra, más que destruir ciudades, desgasta personas, donde muchos de los soldados que les toca manejar un tanque de guerra no quedan el ruido de las explosiones, sino con ese silencio Y esa sensación de haber estado encerrado, por un rato, en un lugar donde la guerra no se ve, pero se siente en cada segundo.
