Domingo de celebración y nada más agradable que ir al cine, por unanimidad, viendo la cartelera cinematográfica, todas escogemos Animales fantásticos: los secretos de Dumbledore, no es de extrañar porque el género de fantasía, por lo general, agrada a adultos y niños y la saga de Animales Fantástico para los que la hemos seguido nos debía la continuación de una historia.
La película, como todas las de la afamada escritora y guionista J. K. Rowling y su director David Yates, nos regala un maravilloso rato donde se desborda la imaginación, los efectos especiales y una ambientación de época años 30´ con una iluminación que logra mezclar lo tenebroso con la calidez. De igual manera nos presenta una trama truculenta de la lucha del bien y el mal, en la cual, el mal se encuentra más fortalecido que el equipo que trabaja por el bien, Les cuento algo de la trama.
La trama
La película se inicia con una reunión entre, Albus Dumbledore (Jude Law) profesor de Magia y Hechicería del Colegio Hogwarts, donde vivimos todas las aventuras de recordado Harry Potter y el que fue su amigo de adolescencia el mago tenebroso Gellert Grindelwald (Mads Mikkelsen), la reunión deja claro que se avecina una guerra en la cual Grindelwald pretende destruir el mundo de los mugles, los no magos, Dumbledore, fija su posición, no se unirá al tenebrosos pero tampoco se puede enfrentar a él porque los unen un pacto de sangre que realizaron cuando eran muchachos.
Mientras tanto Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) el protector de los animales fantásticos, se encuentra acompañando a una Qilin, una hermosa especie mágica que es capaz de ver el alma de las personas y que en ese momento se encuentra dando a luz a su cría. La Qilin es herida gravemente por un grupo de seguidores de Grindelwald, liderados por Credence Barebone (Ezra Mille) un oscuro poseedor de una gran energía negativa producto del abandono y abusos sufridos en la niñez.
Credence logra capturar el Qilin bebé para entregárselo a Grindelwald. Newt, regresa al lado de la malherida madre y se encuentra que hay un segundo bebé, lo recupera y promete a la madre que lo cuidará.
Por su parte Dumbledore, ha logrado formar un equipo para hacerle frente a Grindelwald, conformado Newt, Theseus, hermano Newt y funcionario del Ministerio de la Magia, otro mago, una bruja y el muggle Jacob Kowalski (Dan Fogler) el panadero enamorado de la bruja Queenie quien se ha pasado al mundo oscuro. Conociendo la debilidad de su equipo la estrategia que propone es confundir a su oponente.
El escenario central es la elección del jefe supremo de los magos y brujos, ante el asombro de muchos y la alegría de otros, Grindelwald, ha sido absuelto por la Confederación Internacional de Magos (CIM) de todos los crímenes realizados anteriormente, lo que le permite ser candidato al cargo.
En el ínterin de este proceso electoral el equipo de Dumbledore ha logrado frustrar un intento de asesinato de uno de los candidatos, rescatar a Theseus de una cárcel de alta peligrosidad y el mismo Dumbledore salvar, su propia vida, en un enfrentamiento con Credence.
El paso final de la elección del jefe supremo es que el Qilin lo elija, postrándose ante aquel que considera más digno por la bondad de su alma. Cuando Grindelwald, recibió al Qilin que capturó Credence, le dio muerte y posteriormente, para el día de la gran elección, valiéndose de la magia lo revivió manipulando su sentir para que el tierno animal se postrara ante él, eligiéndolo.
Newt, junto al equipo ha podido mantener con vida al gemelo del Qilin y allí ante todos Dumbledore lo muestra y el Qilin se arrodilla ante uno de los candidatos, seleccionándolo como la máxima autoridad. Grindelwald, molesto y frustrado ataca a Credence, Dumbledore, lo protege iniciando una gran lucha contra Grindelwald, al medir sus fuerzas el pacto de sangre queda roto.
Grindelwald al ver que en ese momento la batalla no tiene desenlace abandona la lucha, llevándonos a un final abierto que nos hace pensar que la historia continuará…
Comentario Intencionado
Animales fantásticos: los secretos de Dumbledore tiene todo lo que el género requiere para fascinar. Una trama con fuerza, sostenida en todos sus puntos que te hace seguirla sin espabilar, con un toque de suspenso que aunque infieres lo que va a pasar, el cómo suceden los hechos, no deja de ser creativo.
Los actores con unas excelentes y equilibradas interpretaciones donde el protagonismo de uno no resalta sobre el resto sintiéndose un trabajo de equipo cohesionado, en cuanto a este punto si hay algo que eche de menos pero no es asunto de los actores sino de la trama.
Al papel de Credence le faltó fuerza, es decir, lo dejamos en la película anterior como una fuerza avasallante, una amenaza con un alto poder destructor, acá vemos a un joven débil y como perdido en su papel, sin embargo, la trama nos da algunas justificaciones de porque ocurre esto y que se orienta hacia un debate emocional del personaje pero, no deja de haber una incongruencia con la expectativa que se dejó y que en lo particular esperaba otra cosa.
Sin embargo, puedo resaltar que a lo largo de la historia narrada él joven Credence y su padre son los dos personajes que llevan una trama paralela que apunta hacia la reflexión de los sentimientos y emociones ya que ambos han sido afectados por sucesos circunstanciales y sus consecuencias. Un padre lleno de culpas que recibe mensajes que lo atormentan, sumergiéndolo en la incertidumbre porque no sabe de dónde proceden. Y un hijo que se va “apagando” por una vida de sufrimiento y represión emocional que reclama afecto y aceptación, todo un “temazo”.
También extrañé la relación de Newt con Porpentina "Tina" Goldstein (Katherine Waterston) me imaginé que en esta película habría el desarrollo de una historia de amor entre estos personajes, pues no hubo tal cosa, si hubo romance y final feliz pero con otra pareja.
Es posible que mi percepción este mediada por el formato “tele-novela”, jajaja, pero se supone que es una continuación y que dejar “cabos sueltos” no es parte del trato entre fans y creadores.

The Plot
The film opens with a meeting between Albus Dumbledore (Jude Law), professor of Witchcraft and Wizardry at Hogwarts School, where we live all the adventures of Harry Potter and his teenage friend, the dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald (Mads Mikkelsen), The meeting makes it clear that a war is coming in which Grindelwald intends to destroy the world of the mugles, the non-magicians, Dumbledore, fixes his position, will not join the tenebrous but also can not face him because they are united by a blood pact they made when they were boys.

Fantastic animals: Dumbledore's secrets has everything the genre requires to fascinate. A plot with strength, sustained in all its points that makes you follow it without getting dizzy, with a touch of suspense that although you infer what is going to happen, the way the events happen, does not cease to be creative.
The actors with excellent and balanced performances where the protagonism of one does not stand out over the rest feeling a cohesive teamwork, as for this point if there is something I miss but it is not a matter of the actors but of the plot.
The role of Credence lacked strength, that is, we left him in the previous film as an overwhelming force, a threat with a high destructive power, here we see a weak young man and as if lost in his role, however, the plot gives us some justifications of why this happens and that is oriented towards an emotional debate of the character but, there is still an inconsistency with the expectation that was left and that in particular I expected something else.
However, I can highlight that throughout the narrated story, young Credence and his father are the two characters that carry a parallel plot that points towards the reflection of feelings and emotions since both have been affected by circumstantial events and their consequences. A father full of guilt who receives messages that torment him, submerging him in uncertainty because he does not know where they come from. And a son who is being "turned off" by a life of suffering and emotional repression that demands affection and acceptance, quite a "theme".
I also missed Newt's relationship with Porpentina "Tina" Goldstein (Katherine Waterston) I imagined that in this film there would be the development of a love story between these characters, but there was no such thing, there was romance and a happy ending but with another couple.
It is possible that my perception is mediated by the "soap opera" format, hahaha, but it is supposed to be a continuation and leaving "loose ends" is not part of the deal between fans and creators.

I think Fantastic Beasts started out great but somehow, it did not match the energy in Harry Potter. The first movie was exciting but the second just didn't cut it for me. I have to go revisit the last part so I can recall all the events that led to what is going on in this third part. I hope I enjoy this part.

Soy fan de J. K. Rowling y de la saga de Harry Potter. Esta pelicula no pude verla en pantalla grande porque todavia me da miedo andar por ahi y en lugares encerrados. Las dos primeas me fascinaron, y estoy esperando esta emocionada. Luego te dare mi opinión sobre este filme.

bajo mi punto de vista una gran película algo incomprendida por el publico que esperaba quizás mas conexiones con el mundo y la saga de harry potter que conocemos, pero hay que entender la cantidad de contexto que nos da del origen de la guerra entre magos y muggles que mas adelante serviría de inspiración para el propio voldemort, es muy interesante desarrollar estos acontecimientos décadas antes de los libros originales.... pero sin duda lamentablemente la polemica de johny depp también le ha hecho mucho daño a la promoción y aceptación de la película, y es una pena porque Mads Mikkelsen lo hace genial....
