I agree and need to watch this one again. This film ad a proper story line that was very different to other films and I think this is what is lacking today. You don't need a huge budget for special effects if you have a decent script and story to tell.

I was delightfully surprised and I think the main reason why I was never exposed to this as a child was because there are some boobies in it and I guess that would have made it rated R. I also wouldn't have been interested in a pool film with Cruise back in those times. I was more interested in his silly or fantasy roles in the 80's when I was living in them.
