Synopsis
On this occasion I come to present this incredible anime full of action and fighting, called as its protagonist "Baki", is a shonen style fighting anime, which is centered on the life of continuous battles of a high school student nicknamed "The strongest man in the world" and the various fighters around him. At that point in his reputation, certain fighters and death row inmates escape from their respective prisons in search of confronting him, defeating him, and winning his title, or else tasting the taste of defeat. In addition, Baki is the son of the strongest fighter ever known, this young man will face different challenges fighting for his life and the lives of the people he loves, confronting different styles of martial arts. Will Baki be able to defeat them all?
Opinion
Initially, when I started to watch it, it did not call my attention at all, since the design at the beginning was not to my liking, talking mainly about the drawing, however, when I advanced inside the plot my concept changed completely, obviating the fact that I did not like the style of drawing and animation, the battles which are the strong point of this anime are totally exceptional, with very varied fighting styles at an incredible speed (of course I must emphasize that the characters seem to have superhuman abilities) and with very well known martial arts styles, I even discovered some that I didn't know, the varied fight scenarios in which the characters face, not limited to a battlefield, ring or arena, they also have their encounters in public places, where evil defines them being able to kill individuals who have nothing to do in the conflict.
In addition, this anime has impressive scenes that, if I'm honest, with the large number of anime I've seen, I never expected most of them to be totally random, with some confrontations with enemies taken from the same human hell, scary and creepy. At the same time, the gore scenes (bloody) are perfect, no censorship, totally visible and noticeable wounds, bloody people about to die fighting to the last consequences, something impressive, but spectacular at the same time, even so, I liked this work.
To complement, I will detail some very important aspects about Baki:
Weapons: For any practitioner of martial arts, it is very recurrent to hear the saying of "The body is a deadly weapon", well in this anime is not for less, thanks to the physical training and modified bodies, we can observe the use of weapons incorporated in the body as knives, guns even bombs, you can also appreciate a large number of weapons used in the different types of existing martial arts, Kung-Fu swords, Katanas, knuckle dusters, and many others.
Drawing: As I mentioned before this was not one of the main attractions of this anime, an opinion that changed as I watched the chapters, the reason is because of the explicit content and "exotic" characters that we can find in it because we will always see torn muscles, disfigured faces, severed limbs and this kind of things, are much better appreciated in this style of animation.
Conviction: For any fighter this is an important element in the battles because without conviction and determination they would not be able to face such difficult challenges in their lives, throughout this anime, you will find this kind of people, with very strong emotions which strengthen them to achieve victory.
Scenarios
This is another aspect that caught my attention, since we are used to seeing fights in the most common places in anime, being these quadrangles, arenas, deserted forests, and all that kinds of scenarios, so in "Baki" speaking as an anime, we can see fights in a huge amount of places, squares, parks, buildings, sewers and many other structures that even the fighters use to their advantage in the battles, highlighting that it is incredible the ingenuity they apply to take advantage of their environment to obtain the desired victory.
Battles
Like all combat anime, it would be impossible to make a post of these without talking about the battles, which are extremely incredible, to see such varied styles facing each other in combat mostly one on one for honor or survival is seriously impressive, in turn as not everything is light, there is darkness and this refers to the encounters little "Clean", in which different types of tricks, traps or weapons are used by some opponents to defeat their rivals in any way possible.
The animation in this particular is something very remarkable since in different scenes the studio makes a variation of the normal drawing style to one more in 3D (Third Dimension) which, in my opinion, does not look very good and is something that I have seen previously in anime like the last season of "Shingeki No Kyojin" (Soon I will do a post about this Tops anime), this is done to give more fluidity to the fights and make the animation easier.
Fighting Styles
It would be a waste to talk about this anime without mentioning the great number of ways of fighting that I could see and that was explained to me also within the plot, being a great amount of this very fluid, in such a sense for me it is difficult to choose just one, but I will do my best to denote the ones that seem to be the best.
Mixed: This is the fighting style of our protagonist, this style is basically the combination of different fighting styles in one person, these can be whatever the fighter wants, they can be masters in Jiu-Jitsu with a black belt in Karate varying with Muay-Thai, this makes them much more powerful than a "normal" fighter.
Kung-Fu: Traditional Chinese martial art, totally powerful and dangerous which is based on a solid defense and a lethal attack, here I could see movements of totally brutal practitioners that I had never seen before, demonstrating the great effectiveness of it, with sincerity I fell in love with this style.
Karate: Coming from Japan, we find a specialty of combat of the oldest known to man, which is based on something known as Katas which are patterns of attack and submission techniques with takedowns.
Characters
This is one of the sections that I most enjoy writing, this is because explaining and/or detailing the characters, is very pleasant and draws my attention, since the story is not always focused on a single character, having the opportunity to get a lot of information from most of them, which can even lead you to become fond of them, so it was difficult for me to choose, however, I present them to you:
Baki Hanma: Our calm and serene protagonist, an absolute killing machine, son of the powerful Yujiro Hanma, this young man from a very young age was trained to become the best fighter that exists, having rigorous training practices, this guy lives for the fight, has a totally privileged body without a grotesque appearance and at the same time an immovable tranquility but with an extremely dangerous character, as it is very temperamental if they touch what is precious to him.
Yuujiro Hanma: Nicknamed "Ogre" and father of Baki, this man is a mass of pure strength and talent, plus he has a philosophy of life that he takes to the extreme, which is based on defeating all types of opponents. This man has the ability to learn any martial art just by looking at it, besides his physique by human nature is extremely over human, he has a back with an extremely grotesque muscular figure, which also gives him a privileged power, a total beast in battle.
Doppo Orochi: Holder of a great number of titles like "God of War and Tiger Killer", is a karate master of the tenth Dan of Karate in his dojo ShinShinKai, a serious fighter in extremely powerful, which has weapons like arms and legs, techniques taken to the most extreme limits of a human, being able to face his enemies only using the karate that he loves and dedicated his life, a total expert of his martial art.

En esta ocasión les vengo a presentar este increíble anime lleno de acción y combates, llamado como su protagonista "Baki", es un anime de peleas estilo Shonen, el cual está centrado en la vida de batallas continuas de un estudiante de secundaria apodado "El hombre más fuerte del mundo" y los distintos peleadores a su alrededor. Llegados a ese punto de su reputación, ciertos luchadores y condenados a muerte se escapan de sus respectivas cárceles en búsqueda de enfrentarlo, derrotarlo y obtener su título o bien probar el sabor de la derrota. Además, Baki es hijo del peleador más fuerte alguna vez conocido, este joven se enfrentará a distintos desafíos peleando por su vida y la de las personas que quiere, confrontando distintos estilos de artes marciales. ¿Será Baki capaz de derrotarlos a todos?
Opinión
Inicialmente cuando comencé a verlo no llamó en absoluto mi atención, ya que el diseño al principio no era de mi agrado, hablando principalmente del dibujo, sin embargo, cuando avance dentro de la trama mi concepto cambió completamente, obviando el hecho de que no me gustaba mucho el estilo de dibujo y animación, las batallas las cuales son el punto fuerte de este anime son totalmente excepcionales, con estilos de pelea muy variados a una velocidad increíbles (Claro debo resaltar mucho de que los personajes parecen tener habilidades sobre humanas) y con estilos de artes marciales muy conocidos, he incluso descubrí algunos que desconocía, los escenarios tan variados de pelea en los cuales se enfrenta los personajes, no limitados a un campo de batalla, cuadrilátero o arena, estos también tienen sus encuentros en sitios públicos, donde la maldad los define siendo capaces de asesinar individuos que no tienen nada que ver en el conflicto.
Además, este anime posee escenas impresionantes que, si soy sincera, con la gran cantidad de animes que he visto, nunca me espere que la mayoría fueran totalmente aleatorias, con algunas confrontaciones con enemigos sacados del mismo infierno humano, tenebrosos y espeluznantes. A su vez, las escenas de gore (sangrientas) están perfectas, nada de censura heridas totalmente visibles y notables, personas ensangrentadas y a punto de morir peleando hasta las últimas consecuencias, algo impresionante, pero espectacular a la misma vez, aun así, me gusto esta obra.
Para complementar, detallare algunos aspectos muy importantes sobre Baki:
Armas: Para cualquier practicante de artes marciales, es muy recurrente escucha el refrán de "El cuerpo es un arma mortal", pues en este anime no es para menos, gracias a el entrenamiento físico y cuerpos modificados, podemos observar el empleo de armas incorporadas en el organismo como navajas, pistolas incluso bombas, también podrán apreciar una gran cantidad de armas utilizadas en los distintos tipos de artes marciales existentes, espadas de Kung-Fu, Katanas, nudilleras y muchos otros.
Dibujo: Como mencione anteriormente este no era uno de los atractivos principales de este anime, opinión que cambie al ir observando capítulos, el motivo es por el contenido tan explícito y personajes "exóticos" que podemos encontrar en el mismo, debido a que siempre veremos músculos desgarrados, caras desfiguradas, extremidades cortadas y este tipo de cosas, se aprecian mucho mejor en este estilo de animaciones.
Convicción: Para cualquier peleador este es un elemento importante en las batallas, ya que sin convicción y determinación no serían capaces de enfrentar tan difíciles desafíos dentro de sus vidas, a lo largo de este anime podrán encontrarse en reiteradas ocasiones con este tipo de personas, con emociones muy fuertes las cuales los fortalecen para alcanzar la victoria.
Escenarios
Este es otro aspecto que llamó mucho mi atención, ya que estamos acostumbrados a ver enfrentamientos en los lugares más comunes del anime, siendo estos cuadriláteros, arenas, bosques desiertos y todo ese tipo de escenarios, por lo que dentro de “Baki” hablando como anime, podremos ver peleas en una inmensa cantidad de lugares, plazas, parques, edificios, cloacas y muchas otras estructuras que inclusive los peleadores utilizan a su favor en las batallas, resaltando que, es increíble el ingenio que aplican para obtener ventajas de su entorno para obtener la ansiada victoria.
Batallas
Como todo anime de combates sería imposible hacer un post de estos sin hablar de las batallas, la cuales son sumamente increíbles, ver estilos tan variados enfrentándose en combates mayormente uno a uno por honor o supervivencia es en serio impresionante, a su vez como no todo es luz, existe la oscuridad y esta se refiere a los encuentros poco "Limpios", en los cuales se utilizan distintos tipos de artimañas, trampas o armas por algunos adversarios para poder derrotar a sus rivales de cualquier forma posible.
La animación en este particular es algo muy destacable, ya que en distintas escenas el estudio hace una variación del estilo normal de dibujo a uno más en 3D (Tercera Dimensión) que, a mi parecer no se ve muy bien y es algo que he visto anteriormente en animes como la última temporada de "Shingeki No Kyojin" (Pronto haré un post sobre este anime de los Tops), esto lo hacen para darle más fluidez a los combates y hacer más fácil la animación.
Estilos de Pelea
Sería un desperdicio hablar de este anime sin hacer mención de la gran cantidad de formas de pelear que pude ver y que me explicaron también dentro de la trama, siendo una gran cantidad de estos muy fluidos, en tal sentido para mi es difícil elegir uno solo, pero haré mi mejor esfuerzo por denotar los que me parecen mejor.
Mixto: Este es el estilo de pelea de nuestro protagonista, este estilo básicamente es la combinación de distintos estilos de pelea en una sola persona, estos pueden ser lo que desee el peleador, pueden ser maestros en Jiu-Jitsu con cinta negra en Karate variando con Muay-Thai, esto hace que sean mucho más poderosos que un peleador "normal".
Kung-Fu: Arte marcial chino tradicional, totalmente poderoso y peligroso el cual se basa en una sólida defensa y un letal ataque, aquí pude ver movimientos de practicantes totalmente brutales que nunca había visto antes, demostrando la gran efectividad del mismo, con sinceridad quede enamorada de este estilo.
Karate: Proveniente de Japón, nos encontramos con una especialidad de combate de las más antiguas conocidas por el hombre, las cuales se basan en algo conocido como Katas que son patrones de ataque y técnicas de sumisión con derribos.
Personajes
Esta es una de las secciones que más disfruto redactar, esto es debido a que explicar y/o detallar a los personajes, es muy grato y llama mucho mi atención, ya que la historia no siempre está centrada en un solo personaje, teniendo la oportunidad de llegar a obtener mucha información de la mayoría, lo que te puede llevar incluso a tomarles cariño, así que se me hizo difícil elegir, sin embargo, se los presento:
Baki Hanma: Nuestro tranquilo y sereno protagonista, una absoluta máquina de matar, hijo del poderoso Yujiro Hanma, este joven desde muy pequeña edad fue entrenado para convertirse en el mejor peleador que exista, teniendo rigurosas prácticas de entrenamiento, este chico vive por la pelea, tiene un cuerpo totalmente privilegiado sin una grotesca apariencia y a la vez una tranquilidad inamovible pero con un carácter en extremo peligroso, ya que es muy temperamental si tocan a lo que es preciado para él.
Yuujiro Hanma: Apodado "Ogro" y padre de Baki, este hombre es una masa de fuerza y talento puro, ademas de que tiene una filosofía de vida que lleva al extremo, la cual se basa en derrotar a todo tipo de oponente. Este hombre tiene la capacidad de aprender cualquier arte marcial con solo mirarla, ademas de que su físico por naturaleza humana es en extremo sobre humano, tiene la espalda con una figura musculosa extremadamente grotesca, la cual también le da un poder privilegiado, una total bestia en la batalla.
Doppo Orochi: Poseedor de una gran cantidad de títulos como "Dios de la Guerra y Asesino de Tigres, es un maestro de karate del décimo Dan de Karate en su dojo ShinShinKai, un peleador serio en extremo poderoso, el cual posee armas como brazos y piernas, técnicas llevadas a los límites más extremos de un humano, siendo capaz de enfrentar a sus enemigos únicamente empleando el karate que ama y dedico su vida, un total experto de su arte marcial.

Great review! Despite the obvious unrealistic aspects, there's still a lot of care put into making each fight feel somewhat different and the styles of combat being unique. It's fun to watch. I'm not a big fan or anything, but it reminds me of Jojo's Bizarre Adventure which makes it automatically fun to watch haha.

Realmente no soy fan de este estilo de anime pero, luego que vi "Kengan ashura" que me gusto muchisimo debo resaltar, siendo este del mismo estilo de peleas, decidi darle oportunidad a Baki y no me defraudo hahaha.
