I watched this film several years ago and it was like a surreal experience. Up to that point, I have never before seen a film filmed from the point of view of a character, much less the soul of a character. At the beginning, it was very innovative and intriguing but honestly, towards the end I was a little bit tired from it. Either way, I recognize it is an unique film and most people should give it a watch.

I don't know why I haven't seen anything by Gaspar Noé yet, I'll take this one into consideration for the next few days. Good review, looks like an interesting film, looks really good.

I am a fan of Gaspar Noe. I recommend you to see the film Carne, from 1991. And then watch Seul contre tous, a great film that would be impossible to make today, with the political correctness imposed on the world. It's practically a sequel to the '91 medium-length film. By the way, the character of The Butcher also appears in Irreversible. I love all of the filmmaker's films. I have yet to see his latest production: Lux Æterna.
