I’m not used to seeing Channing Tatum in these types of movies, but it was the reason I started watching “Blink Twice”. Blink Twice is supposed to be a type of password used to warn that someone is in danger and can’t say it.

No estoy acostumbrada a ver a Channing Tatum en este tipo de películas, pero fue la razón por la que empecé a ver “Parpadea dos veces”. Se supone que parpadear dos veces es un tipo de contraseña que se usa para avisar que alguien se encuentra en peligro y no puede decirlo.
Frida (Naomi Ackie) is a waitress obsessed with Slater King (Channing Tatum), a billionaire dedicated to the technology industry who has been involved in scandals for abuse of power and has decided to retire from his duties and live more freely on an island he owns. When Frida and her friend Jess (Alia Shawkat) meet Slater and he invites them to his island, along with a group of three other women and the tycoon’s friends, they feel that this is their chance to live an unforgettable experience that will never be repeated and that is exactly what they get.
Days and nights of an eternal party of such magnitude that they wake up without remembering what happened the day before, losing track of time in such a way that they don’t remember what day it is, not caring about anything but living without worrying about anyone and just enjoying the luxuries offered to them without asking for anything in return. Cuando Frida y su amiga Jess (Alia Shawkat) conocen a Slater y éste las invita a su isla, junto a un grupo de otras tres mujeres y los amigos del magnate, sienten que es su oportunidad de vivir una experiencia inolvidable que nunca se repetirá y eso es exactamente lo que consiguen.
Días y noches de una fiesta eterna de tal magnitud que se despiertan sin recordar lo que pasó el día anterior, perdiendo la noción del tiempo de tal manera que no recuerdan qué día es, sin importarles nada pero viviendo sin preocuparse por nadie y sólo disfrutando de los lujos que se les ofrecen sin pedir nada a cambio. Supuestamente.
This phrase pronounced by Slater repeatedly stuck with me. How happy we would be if we forgot all those situations that could have caused some kind of trauma to our lives or unlike that point of view one could say that we are the people we are thanks to those not so pleasant situations we have lived. Maybe Slater would be right if the trauma was not caused with malice aforethought, but otherwise it is a deplorable act that deserves punishment and not oblivion.
El olvido es un regalo
Está frase pronunciada por Slater en reiteradas veces se me quedó grabada. Qué felices fuéramos si olvidamos todas aquellas situaciones que pudieron causar algún tipo de trauma a nuestras vidas o a diferencia de ese punto de vista se podría decir que somos las personas que somos gracias a esas situaciones no tan agradables que hemos vividos. Tal vez Slater tendría razón si el trauma no fuese causado con alevosía, pero en caso contrario es un acto deplorable que merece un castigo y no el olvido.
Channing Tatum, the truth is that I love this actor, he is super handsome and in this movie he is very sexy. Although it is not a genre in which he is seen very often, in fact, I think it is the first suspense movie in which I see him and with a main character, because most are comedy, romantic or action, the case is that he was excellent, his performance captivates at all times because we realice that he is hiding something but still does it so well that even I would have gone with him 🤭. His partner Naomi Ackie manages to convey feelings like despair but also strength, so I thought she was excellent as well as Adria Arjona who also has a strong and important character in the film.
Channing Tatum, la verdad es que me encanta este actor, es super guapo y en esta película sale muy sexy. Aunque no es un género en el que se le vea muy seguido, de hecho, creo que es la primera película de suspenso en la que lo veo y con un personaje principal, porque la mayoría son de comedia, romántica o acción, el caso es que estuvo excelente, su actuación cautiva en todo momento porque nos damos cuenta que esconde algo pero aun así lo hace tan bien que hasta yo me hubiera ido con él 🤭. Su compañera Naomi Ackie logra transmitir sentimientos como desesperación pero también fortaleza, por lo que me pareció excelente al igual que Adria Arjona quien también tiene un personaje fuerte e importante en la película.
Throughout most of the film we see people enjoying abundance in an unbridled way and women dazzled by wealth. It is a psychological horror thriller with some scenes that make you uncomfortable because of the explicit savagery and abuse. When you start watching it they give you the disclaimer that you are going to see strong scenes, although it takes forever to see those scenes, when they arrive they make you feel like you can’t believe something like this happened, because even though you are prepared for something to happen, because we only see a party and we know there must be something else hidden, we can’t imagine something like this happening. So this twist full of mystery I thought was great. As well as the reaction that follows seems to me totally justified and full of a feeling of rage, but also of justice.
Durante la mayor parte de la película vemos a gente disfrutando de la abundancia de forma desenfrenada y a mujeres deslumbradas por la riqueza. Es un thriller de terror psicológico con algunas escenas que incomodan por lo explícito del salvajismo y el abuso. Cuando empiezas a verla te hacen el acotación de que vas a ver escenas fuertes, aunque tardas una eternidad en ver esas escenas, cuando llegan te hacen sentir que no te puedes creer que haya pasado algo así, porque aunque estás preparado para que pase algo, porque sólo vemos una fiesta y sabemos que debe haber algo más escondido, no nos podemos imaginar que pase algo así. Así que este giro lleno de misterio me pareció genial. Así como la reacción que sigue me parece totalmente justificada y llena de un sentimiento de rabia, pero también de justicia.
