If you like love stories and drama ,I recommend you watch this movie " Like Life Itself",it is an American drama film written and directed by Dan Fogelman, starring Oscar Isaac, Olivia Wilde, Mandy Patinkin, Olivia Cooke, Laia Costa, Annette Bening and Antonio Banderas, and follows multiple couples across numerous generations, and how they are all connected by one particular event.
The film had its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 8, 2018, and was released in the United States on September 21, 2018, by Amazon Studios.
Like Life Itself is a love story set on the streets of New York and Spain that spans several generations, with different characters whose lives become intertwined.
Here is a brief review of this magnificent film.
Will (Oscar Isaac) and Mary (Olivia Wilde) meet at a college party and immediately fall in love. From that moment on, they begin a love story that will span generations and decades and will be set in several continents, starting in the streets of New York and ending in Spain. All connected by a single event that will cross the lives of several people.
La Vida Misma is not the typical love story we are used to seeing. It is the story of two young people who fall in love, both with different traumas or emotional conflicts, get married, and await the arrival of their daughter. This love story whose coincidences of consciences, intertwine and attract each other across generations, continents, diseases, traumatic events and even suicides, connected by a single painful event.
Like life itself is intended as a reflection on the beauty and happiness that often arise from tragedy and suffering, and on how a single event can affect generations; and in particular on how the death of one person can shape the lives of many others.
Not far from reality, sometimes the death of a family member can trigger a whole series of events throughout our lives.
The stories of our parents, grandparents and great-grandparents will allow us to recognize much of our behaviors, even understand the situation in which we find ourselves in certain circumstances and moments, as well as how important and impactful family secrets can be in our lives.
It is a great and moving story. Focused mainly on family, the unforeseen events that tend to appear throughout life and the continuity of the legacy that passes through our children and grandchildren. There are 2 totally independent yet intertwined stories that find their point of interaction in the denouement. Both present a dramatic involvement with unexpected twists and turns that surprise throughout the film. In the end this puzzle manages to unite its parts and manages to convey that emotionality with the great final message.
Excellent, without a doubt I recommend it.
