I will now start the movie review and of course there will be spoilers so if you want to stay unspoiled then go and watch the movie first.

Summary

The story revolves around a guy named Najeeb who is a Muslim, living in a small town of India. He always dreamt big to provide a luxurious life to his beloved wife and mum who were the only part of his family. One day, with the help of his friend he gets the visa of abroad and decides to go there so that he can earn good and live a luxurious life.

Another guy named hakim meets him on the journey and both of them lands in Saudi Arabia and starts waiting for their assistant to take them away but accidentally meets a local who took them to a far desert area. Both of them were separated there and forced to herd the goats of that local who brought them there.

The suffering continues where najeeb wasn't provided with proper food and also no water for days. He transformed from a healthy guy to a dull and weak old man. This was all because of the brutal life he was living. At last he gets the chance to escape where he succeeds but his friend hakim dies because they were already much weak.

Character overview

  • NAJEEB

The lead character portrayed by Prtithviraj Sukumaran, carries the emotional and physical weight of the movie throughout the story. His transformation from a hopeful traveler who came for a luxurious life to a dull and weak guy describes so much. Also his acting throughout this time is really heartwarming.

  • THE KAFEEL

Another important character played by a non-indian person who picked them up from the airport and brings them to his cruel place. He acted so well in depicting the real life cruel kafeels who just hunt such innocent persons and play with their fate and lives.

  • OTHER SIDE CHARACTERS

The movie has not much main characters and has a small number of persons playing important roles. Like the hakim who dies during his way back to independence and the one who helped them showing the right way back to the road.

Criticism

I would say that the movie is no doubt a beautiful depiction of real life events but what was a bit of hurting for my eyes that the suffering and cruelty lasted for so long. Also they focused only on the cruelty bared by najeeb and haven't showed any scene when he returned back to home. Like what was the reaction of his homies, this could have been a great end if they added it. The movie still is so good to watch but this was a little criticism i wanted to add.

Conclusion

The movie is a masterpiece of reality. It is banned in the Saudia Arabia (might be because they depicted the truth, lol). But has gained so much popularity over the social media which triggered me to watch it and that's why i am going to say that it was worth a watch. I didn't waste my time watching it.

Well, that's all from my side.

        GOODLUCK AND BEST WISHES 👌

I didn't know about this movie, but it looks really interesting, I would go to take a look at it this weekend. Greetings

I am glad that you came to know about this movie through my blog.

I felt like killing that Kafeel when I was watching this movie. This is a masterpiece and you did great with the review. @tipu curate 8

This movie is capable of it because of those long brutal scenes...
Thanks for the support 😊

Hmm, this is the first time I've seen this movie and I'm intrigued, man. I'll check out the trailer and if I'm more interested I might watch the movie.

I'll give you a little advice on your post, man. If you capitalize the first letter of the characters in the movie, you can create a better experience for the readers because you know that the first letters of personal names are capitalized.

Oh yes I missed that at some points, thanks for pointing it out. I will be careful next time...

You must give it a watch bro, it is on trend if you search about it, I will ask from you on the show next week if you have watched it or not.

I doubt if you can join next week 😂😂

You are welcome man :)

Lol, I am fully determined...

It is impressive how a film can portray the harsh reality faced by many people in search of a better life. I understand your criticism about the prolonged depiction of suffering, but sometimes it is necessary to show the harsh reality. I find it interesting that it is banned in Saudi Arabia, that just highlights its relevance. 🙌

Yeah, I understand that sufferings were delayed for better understanding but still it was offensive for many sensitive people.
