I left my workstation at around seven in the morning. Usually, my work would end at five but since we had some errands that need to be done on the day prior I requested a change of schedule. Droplets of rain still fall when I went outside our humble abode, I am accustomed in the slow paced province life away from the Metro.
The first few weeks of staying here was a pain, mainly in my legs. Going back and forth to the market is tiresome as I need to walk more than 15 minutes to reach the waiting shed for public transportation plus include the wait time for the vehicle to arrive. Public vehicle are still a rare sight and at times I wonder if getting our own ride will help me in the long run.
Going back to the bread, the nearby bakery was near the waiting area and since some folks are living far an old man who resell them usually drops by in the gateway. He starts selling pan de sal at around 5:30 in the morning, perfect time for us since I usually close everything at around 05:15 AM. But since it is raining, we are not expecting him to pay a visit. It is cold and sun's not giving his smile today as the weather's cranky.
To my surprise he is nearby, pressing his mini trumpet as a sign that he is still selling. He cannot shout to call for his patrons as he had stroke. I admire his hard work and dedication as he still push to work even on his current situation he is working for his daily bread.
Life is hard at times I will catch myself staring in the blanskspace reminiscing the old times wherein I will only worry on where I can get a peso to play in the nearest arcade or what will happen to Gon if he see his dad in Hunter Hunter. But that is not my reality anymore, managing finances is one of the troubles that we have because there's close to none.
I was reminded that though at times I see that we lack we never got hungry. There are times wherein we can spend an extra to eat elsewhere. We have enough to last, though splurging isn't that doable anymore compared to the previous years, we are happy.
Maybe as you grow old, you tend to be content or probably because of poverty? I reckon the first idea would fit this blog rather than the latter.
Are you also one of the people who worry about finances? How do you handle such worry? Anything that you are grateful lately?
Hello @tpkidkai, missing a lot from you. Where have you been? hehehe anyway, yes when we grow older we will be happy and contented for what we have. We also tend to do what we like and what makes us happy.
As we are living in this world, worries is everywhere and we cannot deny that fact but me personally I am always reminded of God's promises that He will never leave us nor forsake us. Since birth, I know He is always there providing our needs. Iba yung providing our needs compared to giving or granting our wants. Siguro you can also say that God provided your needs in the past and He still will provide in the future, so don't worry that much as long as you are doing your part.
I always love this kind of reminder Jen from you. The humbleness and hardworking attitude of your radiate. I'm a constant grumbler but also grateful. Hopefully by next year I will be better in being grateful.
It is our human nature to grumble but God hates it according to the story of exodus. He provided food, water, a pillar of fire at night and a clouds during the day but still His people keep on grumbling and God is not happy with it. So as long as we can, we should be thankful in all things. (1 Thessalonians 5:18)
i am actually experiencing that this whole year of 2022, lalo ngayon i am just assisting in my parents business. Can't do the usual day job from my previous company anymore which is why i quit. Coz of my mental health di na kaya. All of us siguro may kanya kanyang timeline or break na ibibigay si Lord, we just need to be ready when the opportunity comes or maybe we create the opportunity ourselves. Oo nga sometimes it is hard to be in the waiting game talaga like when will be the right time for everything. At times I think that I am missing a lot of opportunities but then again rest is needed, na reremind ako na enough na minsan ang mga toils that I do in life.

I have experienced such difficulty before because I was born poor, but my mother find ways to have extra income for us to survive.
For us not to worry so much about finances, I think we should live within our means.
I have learned that in the process grabe splurge kung splurge ako before without thinking of the repercussions of what will happen next.

I am one of the people who worries a lot about finances. Being a breadwinner, this is becoming my major problem every time. It is true that managing finances was been so difficult for me because of unnecessary things that surround me, but despite the struggle, I am still grateful that God never leave me in handling all my circumstances.

I have more worries when I was still younger though. I don't want to depend to the allowance my parent's give me, because it's really just so small, as in, so I have all kinds of worries before. I didn't have the luxury to worry about Gon 😂
