I don't really worry about her not fitting in, because as she grows all of the "culture" stuff and usage if tech will come. But, the skills not learned in childhood can have very severe effects on later life.

I'd rather her not fit in and find her own path, than fit in and be like everyone else, getting their results. Bullying is part of life, she will have to learn to deal with difficult people because, they exist in all age groups. Also, I think the people who have had dome childhood hardship tend to grow to be better people, or the extreme of worse people - but, I am here to help her have some perspective on this :)
