Beautiful Boletus! I've never been lucky enough to find one of these here, maybe because the climate in the region is not favorable, despite the harsh winter here too. Is it common in pine forests? Here appear many Amanitas, but nothing boletus! Maybe they are common but at different times!

The boletus shown here were found in the pine forest of the Karelian Isthmus. This is the North-West of Russia, but winters are not very harsh here. Very rarely, the temperature can reach -30-35C. Mainly up to -20C. These mushrooms grow in the second half of summer and early autumn.
