Mushroom Monday - Resinous polypore - ischnoderma resinosum

in Fungi Lovers3 years ago

Hello Fungi lovers.

Today is Mushroom Monday and I will share with you a few photos of today's findings. I went for a ride to the nearby town to visit some places where I live to take photos. From tomorrow, a rainy period with a drop in temperature is announced. I hope that the mushrooms will finally start to appear. I mostly come across perennial polypores. Today I came across a resinous polypore on a stump next to the fence of the park where I was resting. It is quite large, mature, and no longer edible.

haha! I bet it was sweet, mild and tasty and edible before it matured... thats what you mean ?.. just kidding. no, it wasnt edible right from the very start, hate to disappoint you my friend! I better treat you with a tasty !PIZZA

and I am glad to hear you use cycle and enjoy a ride here and there. and I easily can imagine your pleasure looking at this edition of Polypore mushroom - colors look amazing, mother nature worked wel l on this edition. (And it is very often loose all the beauty and charm in the captures, sad but true!).

we have more than three months of the autumn to live thru! A lot of good warm sunny days ideal for mushroom maturing, I am sure of that! Today we have finished our summer season, closed the house and family moved back to the city. I have ventured into two visits to the forest only... thats a pure shame. But anyway I've got so many pictures that I simply have no time for a decent editing and publishing of those folders ;)

Check my latest posts with some recent tropheis from this weekend, if you're intrested.

@oks2crypto! I sent you a slice of $PIZZA on behalf of @qwerrie.

Maybe they're not edible, but I found a recipe. I've never tried them and definitely won't. I've seen your trophies, and love UFO shroom photos.
Cheers.

haha, intresting. as soon as I started reading, I stumble upon this: " I just used my chef intuition." Personally, I 146% lack this thing ;))))

more !BEER, as like there will be no office day tomorrow, haha!

thats a very nice link and a source of info that you have provided above. .. possibly I could spend hours of my free time watching the mushroom section of that site. (If only I had the said hours!)

@sketch.and.jam, have a look at the link above. I am sure you may enjoy it. A nice forager's experience. And an example of skilled food photography - I really have room for level up my photo skills here.

Ah yes forager chef, I've learned a few edibles from that guy. Sadly I have nearly zero skills with food photography and making it look appetizing to that level...

zero skills with food photography

yeah, same problem here, tho I feel floating myself a bit above zero 8))
but one cannot be strong everywhere, right?

Maybe if I try shooting it with my zoom lens from a distance.
