📷 Alcohol Inky Cap or Coprinopsis atramentaria

Hello friends!
After good spring rains in the front garden near the house, we got such a mushroom. From its color and shape, at first it seemed to me that it was a pale grebe, but the size made me doubt it.
Later at home, I found out that this is Coprinus, a rather interesting conditionally edible mushroom.

I shot it with a smartphone at an awkward angle, so I'm glad that at least three good quality shots turned out, with which we will try our luck in the hive fungi communitys

Coprinus can be found on soils rich in humus in parks, gardens, compost heaps, decomposed garbage, cattle pastures, near rotten trees, on half-decayed foliage. There were times when the mushroom made its way through the asphalt!

Conditionally edible mushroom. It is edible only at a young age, before the darkening of the plates, after preliminary boiling. It is used boiled, fried or pickled.

❗ It contains coprin, therefore, when consumed with alcoholic beverages, it causes acute intoxication.

❗ Coprinus were used to make ink. To do this, mature mushrooms were placed in a dish and, after the completion of the autolysis process, the resulting liquid was filtered and glue and flavor (clove oil) were added. Such ink was used in the form of an additive to the usual ones as a means of protecting documents of national importance, large money bills. Protection is based on the fact that after drying, the spores of the fungus form a unique pattern, which is then examined under a microscope and fixed manually!

This ink is considered one of the most expensive inks in the world.
