When I first moved onto my property here in Hawaii almost 20 years ago it was high desert climate. Very dry, with hot days and cold nights, and billions of stars. Then around 2013 it started to change. We started getting more rain and cloudy days that never warmed up.
Now, coming back here after my 5 year absence, it’s plain to see that trend has continued. All the vegetation in the area is growing like crazy and as you can see, we now have mushrooms.
These brightly colored little ones are just off my front step. I’m wondering if anyone here can help me identify them. I have chickens that roam the yard and am concerned that they could be poisonous.
I’ve seen at least four different kinds around my property recently. Now that I have a decent camera on my new iPhone, I’ll get some pictures and hopefully get them identified. Thanks for taking a look. See you fun-guys around 🤙🍄
I hope you're able to find out what kind of mushroom this is, I have no clue what kind it could be, but hopefully it's nothing poisonous.
I really like all the photos and how you put the artistic graphics in some of them. Nicely done my friend! :)
Thank you friend. Someday I’ll get a really nice camera, until then I’m stoked with this new one.
yes, the animation look quite cool.
Thanks, I’m having fun with the Canva app. I wish they still offered the transparent background feature for free.
those 2 things are not necessarily connected, but ofc I wish you luck with that, and wish you take more cool pics to share.
as for identification, thats hard to say. there are a lot of species looking more or less like this, their outlook is not very specific.
This iPhone 13 claims to have a major upgrade in the camera. Either way, it’s way better than the iPhone 6 I had for 6 years. Thanks for the input on the mushrooms.
haha, I am still using my iphone 4, that is the only possible point for me to compare. that gadget do not catch da mouse at all, all I can tell! 🤪
These kind of remind me of waxycaps aka Hygrocybe.
Cool, thank you. That’s somewhere to start researching. 🤙
