Hello fungi & photography lovers.
This one is a pickers favorite. Some claim it to be of poor quality but I rather enjoy it spicy tastes.
The particular specimens are young and of moderate size and mid life span.
Another clue about Lactarius piperatus, Lactifluus piperatus or a Peppery Milkcap is it leaks white "milk" when it gets cut.
This one's cap has not fully opened yet.
Something was chewing on it. Snail or a mouse.
Looks like bread loaf :)
