Mushroom Monday - A COUPLE OF MUSHROOMS ON A RAINY DAY

I had to do some stuff in Pazin, the small city in the central part of Istra, about sixty kilometers from where I live, and on my way back ...

... I stopped by the road not far from Pazin, because the rain was turning into a drizzle, and it looked like it could stop very soon.

I parked in front of the isolated restaurant surrounded by woods.

The rain eventually stopped, but only for a half-hour or so, and I found only a couple of mushrooms in that short period. These small, pale ones were the most numerous.

I don't have any idea about the species. Well :) that's not the complete truth. I have a couple of ideas, but they are probably wrong, so I won't tell them.

There was plenty of moss and fallen leaves on the ground around the trees.

I liked how those wet details looked in a subdued light of a gloomy day, so I took a couple of non - fungi shots as well.

I'm not completely sure, but this could be the edible Lyophyllum decastes mushroom.

I found a bunch of these mushrooms at the edge of the woods.

Since I'm not sure about what they really are, I took only a couple of shots and left the mushrooms there.

Here you can see the Volvopluteus gloiocephalus mushrooms. I found them on the other side of the road, on the open terrain surrounded by small oak trees and covered with grass.

These relatively big fruiting bodies develop from an egg-like envelope. Here you can see a fragment of that white envelope still attached to the cap.

Here you can see yet another small, pale mushroom found under the oak trees. The same kind as the one from the post's opening picture.

That's all. Haven't found much, but I'm relatively satisfied. That half an hour of rainy day atmosphere was quite enjoyable, and I have enough material for a small Mushroom Monday post.
