RE: The Dreaded Japanese Squat Toilet

in The LooLoo2 years ago (edited)

Nice topic! I really miss Japanese washlet a lot. Especially, a warm benza seat. I am sad to sit on my cold benza seat on a cold morning here.

I also miss clean public toilets as well. Even though Japanese crouching-style toiles are difficult to use sometimes. Actually, I think crouching ones are also very clean because we don’t need to touch any parts. We need to have a strong muscle though!

Haha. I kind of like to read silly warning signs in Japanese toilets sometimes. Every time when I arrive in Japan, I notice that there are many posters everywhere. It is very Japanesy. My husband noticed a sign once that said,“Please urinate forcefully with precision.” in English. Hahaha

I am always curious why Japanese-style Western toilets haven't before more popular in American and Canada. I mean even if the shower and bidet functions aren't popular, I imagine at least most women would love the heated seats. I think there is a big money making opportunity here.

To be honest, I kind of prefer the squat toilet. I asked my wife once if we could get one for our house. She said she didn't think we could buy for a regular house these days. I was a little disappointed.

haha yeah I love some of the strange English they use in the toilets here. I try not to laugh too much because I know someone was trying their best to make a good message, but it is funny sometimes.
