Hola, amigos. Es un verdadero gusto saludarles y compartirles un poco de lo que fue la última actividad escolar de mi pequeño Diego por este 2025. Se trató de su esperada fiesta de Navidad, la cual compartió con mucha ilusión junto a sus compañeros de salón y, de manera especial, con su mejor amigo de la escuela. Para que esta actividad fuera un éxito, nos organizamos con suficiente antelación para recaudar los fondos necesarios y cubrir cada detalle: el plato navideño, los pasapalos, la hidratación y, por supuesto, su respectiva torta.
Este evento representó un logro colectivo muy significativo. Los representantes nos convertimos en esa ayuda idónea para las maestras, trabajando hombro a hombro para que los niños disfrutaran de una fiesta impecable. Gracias a ese esfuerzo en equipo, el salón contó con una decoración navideña preciosa, sirviendo de escenario perfecto para las fotos que quedarán para la posteridad.
La logística fue un ejemplo de colaboración. Tres representantes que tienen conocimientos en decoración se encargaron de los globos. Por otro lado, el plato navideño lo gestionamos con otra mamá del grupo, quien nos ofreció un presupuesto excelente de 3.5 $ por cada ración, la cual incluía una hallaca, pan francés y ensalada de gallina. Para la torta, nos unimos para reunir los ingredientes y una representante dedicada a la repostería puso su talento para preparala; el resultado fue una creación hermosa que a todos nos encantó.
Hello, friends. It is a real pleasure to greet you and share a little bit about my little Diego's last school activity for 2025. It was his long-awaited Christmas party, which he shared with great excitement with his classmates and, in particular, with his best friend at school. To make this activity a success, we organized ourselves well in advance to raise the necessary funds and cover every detail: the Christmas meal, the snacks, the drinks, and, of course, the cake.
This event represented a very significant collective achievement. The representatives became the ideal helpers for the teachers, working shoulder to shoulder to ensure that the children enjoyed a flawless party. Thanks to this team effort, the classroom was beautifully decorated for Christmas, providing the perfect backdrop for photos that will be cherished for years to come.
The logistics were a model of collaboration. Three representatives with decorating skills took care of the balloons. On the other hand, we managed the Christmas meal with another mom from the group, who offered us an excellent price of $3.50 per serving, which included a hallaca, French bread, and chicken salad. For the cake, we got together to gather the ingredients, and a representative who specializes in baking put her talent to work to prepare it. The result was a beautiful creation that we all loved.
Un punto importante este año fueron los cotillones. Tras conversar en el grupo, llegamos al acuerdo de no entregarlos dentro del salón. Decidimos que cada representante lo daría en casa de forma privada. Tomamos esta decisión por empatía, ya que algunos padres manifestaron no tener los recursos para costearlos en este momento y no queríamos que ningún niño se sintiera mal o excluido al ver a otros recibirlos. Tradicionalmente, compramos la bolsita y cada quien la llena, pero la sensibilidad hacia la situación de todos fue lo primordial este año.
El día de la fiesta, los niños estaban muy emocionados, especialmente con la torta que estaba deliciosa. Unimos todas las mesas y sillas para formar dos mesones largos donde cupieron todos los integrantes del salón. Los decoramos con manteles y adornos festivos, creando un ambiente acogedor donde pudieron disfrutar de su almuerzo navideño con total alegría.
Además de la comida, los pequeños aprovecharon para realizar varias dinámicas y actividades propias de la época que los hicieron vivir un día diferente y entretenido. Con este evento cerramos el primer momento pedagógico, haciendo una breve pausa necesaria para compartir en familia y recargar las baterías para continuar con el resto del año escolar que finaliza en julio.
An important issue this year was party favors. After discussing it as a group, we agreed not to hand them out in the classroom. We decided that each representative would give them out privately at home. We made this decision out of empathy, as some parents said they couldn't afford them at the moment, and we didn't want any child to feel bad or excluded when they saw others receiving them. Traditionally, we buy the bags and everyone fills them, but sensitivity to everyone's situation was paramount this year.
On the day of the party, the children were very excited, especially about the delicious cake. We pushed all the tables and chairs together to form two long tables that could seat everyone in the classroom. We decorated them with tablecloths and festive decorations, creating a cozy atmosphere where they could enjoy their Christmas lunch with total joy.
In addition to the food, the children took advantage of the opportunity to participate in various seasonal activities that made for a different and entertaining day. With this event, we closed the first pedagogical moment, taking a brief but necessary break to share with family and recharge our batteries to continue with the rest of the school year, which ends in July.
Ver a Diego jugar con su mejor amigo y compartir con tanta tranquilidad con sus demás compañeros me llena de orgullo. Como vocera y representante de la sección, me siento sumamente complacida porque los objetivos se cumplieron. Logramos realizar con éxito desde la compleja obra de teatro que nos dio tanto trabajo, hasta esta amena convivencia navideña. Cada meta alcanzada llevó una planificación rigurosa, siempre trabajando en pro de la felicidad de los niños y enseñándoles valores fundamentales como la amistad, el compartir y el verdadero motivo de estas fechas: el nacimiento de Jesús. Fue una etapa de mucho esfuerzo, pero nos deja la satisfacción de saber que, cuando trabajamos unidos, todo es posible.
Seeing Diego play with his best friend and interact so calmly with his other classmates fills me with pride. As spokesperson and representative of the section, I am extremely pleased that the objectives were met. We successfully accomplished everything from the complex play that took so much work to this enjoyable Christmas gathering. Each goal achieved required rigorous planning, always working for the happiness of the children and teaching them fundamental values such as friendship, sharing, and the true meaning of this season: the birth of Jesus. It was a period of great effort, but it leaves us with the satisfaction of knowing that when we work together, anything is possible.
