My bundle of joy

It was December 9th 2020
I have been cranky and had some symptoms of malaria so I decided to go run a few test ,on getting there I told the nurse how I felt and she smiled and said you are pregnant ,I was like really ?? I have never been preganant in fact some years ago while in dubai I went to check if my womb was intact .

This must be a miracle,I have always wanted a child either married or not ,Infact I have dreamt of my baby some years back, so yes I was ready.

I told the nurse I had malaria and I was very sure so let’s run a test,she insisted on running a pregnancy test along side and she said the result will come out in a few hours , so I left to return for my malaria test ‘obviously’ pregnancy??? how can I be pregnant .”Thats hilarious” infant my monthly period is about to come in two days lol.

Few hours later my phone rang and the nurse asked “hello is this tosan ,I said yes and she said you are pregnant’
I was like what!!! I felt hot tears drop down my cheeks I was so excited,immediately I called my now Ex husband (story for another day)showed a little bit of excitement but I think he was shocked , because he had even joked around saying you have never gotten pregnant before hope all is well .so I guess he was shocked at the news, I wasnt bothered my baby girl is coming.

Weeks passsed ,months passed and I was counting.... fortunately for me I did not have all the regular symptoms like spitting ,vomiting,swollen legs and all .Lucky me right?

Ante-Natal
I registered in a hospital and started taking my medications, my appetite for junk food increased, I took lots of cold water I was craving it so bad at 5months ,my Tommy was still small no one had an idea I was even pregnant, at this time I was planning my wedding so it was good no one even had a clue

At 8months my Tommy was obvious, I had cramps I could feel the baby kicks and every movement that “Baby Naya” was bringing, sometimes I felt like she wanted to be out of there ,such a restless girl just like her mother.( lol)

I had done a couple of scans but I wanted a 4D scan, I wanted to see what she looked like in a clearer picture, my self and my sister Inlaw @estherscott booked a scan day and we had the scan done. She was so beautiful just like my dreams my baby girl, oh my gosh........ I am going to be responsible for another life.

Labor day
It was a Monday morning 19th of July 2021 and I could feel the cramps and pain and I was so heavy ,yooooo I wanted to just see “NAYA” it was my ante-natal day at the hospital but I decided to just carry my hospital bag just in case she decided to come, we left home at 6am and arrived the hospital at 9am, Nurse Pelumi said tosan how are you feeling? And I told her I couldn't sleep the night before I felt cramps every 10mins and she said lets check you.

After the check, she said bring your bag and baby's bag you are going to have a baby today lol “i was like thank God finally“
i called my younger sister and she came an hour later ,the pain increased over the hours, and half the time I kept asking for Dominos pizza and cold stone ice-cream I just wanted junk food guys,at 5:30 pm I told the nurses I was ready at this point I was tired.

Finally! !!!
At 6 pm it was time ,I pushed with all my strength and at 6:10 my bundle of joy arrived
Anayah. My younger sister was the first to see her I was still in bed getting stitched, few mins later I held my daughter that feeling was amazing. I spent the whole night awake staring at her, oh she was so beautiful my “Annie baby”

At 8 am I was discharged, I could feel the Stitches, my back pain and cranked up feeling were all gone, I'm holding my daughter that was the happiest day of My life.

Snapback

My snapback game was a 150% snap, the first night I got back from the hospital my aunty massaged me with steamy hot water, that type of hot bath you see the steam through your skin, it as the hottest bath ever .

In 3days my Tommy tightened back, did I forget to mention no “stretch marks “ The most stressful part for me was getting milk out it took 2days, I really wanted to do exclusive so I became frustrated with the breast milk , finally it came out and we went all the way through 6months with just milk no water -no formula

Knowing Naya
Naya is a blessing to me she is my answered prayer

Colic days were hectic, for 3months we had sweet nights dealing with crying, shouting she cried and I cried.... oh yes I cried it's not easy seeing your child go through the pain and you can't help. By the 4th month, the pain was gone, then teething started lol

6months came and we stopped breastfeeding, and straight to water and food, Naya eats a lot so we restock baby food every week , babies are expensive but , I have waited for this all my life, who am I to complain lol .

Happy 7th month to my world,my first fruit,my best friend
