Hola, queridos amigos de motherhood. Espero que hayan tenido un lindo y productivo día.
En el post anterior les conté que estamos en el proceso de colocar la ortodoncia a mi hija Camila y que ya la odontóloga le arregló las muelas donde tenía las caries.
El siguiente paso es tomarle la impresión de la mordida, directamente de la boca, para colocarle el aparato que va en la encía (se llama placa de mordida o bite plate) el cual es para arreglarle la mordida, como les comenté anteriormente, ella tiene la mordida adelantada.
Este problema no es algo que se note tanto, pero estéticamente es un trabajo que debe hacerse a la sonrisa para que quede armónica.
La llevé a consulta para que el ortodoncista le tomara la muestra, y asi pueda hacerle ese aparato que va en la encía. Les cuento que la manera de tomar ese molde es con otro aparato que colocan en la dentadura y ella debe morder fuerte, la textura es muy parecida a una plastilina, ella debe presionar fuerte y los dientes quedan marcados en lo que es el molde con el cual se le hará el aparato para arreglar la mordida o el bite plate. Pasados unos minutos le tomó el molde de la parte de arriba y luego de la parte de abajo de la dentadura.
El doctor nos explicó con mucha calma y paciencia para que entendieramos lo que él iba a hacer paso a paso. Este proceso fue un poco incómodo porque debe abrir bastante grande la boca para introducir el molde que contiene la pasta donde queda marcada la mordida.
El aparato que le van a colocar estará listo en unos días. En la próxima consulta le estarán colocando la ortodoncia completa, que requiere para tener una sonrisa perfecta. Y por supuesto yo seguiré contándoles todo el proceso por acá.

I took her to the orthodontist for the orthodontist to take the sample, so that he can make the appliance that goes in the gum. I tell you that the way to take that mold is with another appliance that is placed on the teeth and she must bite hard, the texture is very similar to plasticine, she must press hard and the teeth are marked in what is the mold with which the appliance will be made to fix the bite or the bite plate. After a few minutes I take the mold from the top and then from the bottom of the denture.
The doctor explained to us very calmly and patiently so that we understood what he was going to do step by step. This process was a little uncomfortable because you have to open your mouth wide to introduce the mold that contains the paste where the bite is marked.
The appliance will be ready in a few days. At the next appointment she will be fitted with the complete orthodontics, which she needs to have a perfect smile. And of course I will continue to tell you about the whole process here.
