Son muchos los tiempos difíciles por los que venimos atravesando desde hace dos meses, siento que la vida nos ha puesto un gran desafío y estoy segura de que saldremos victoriosos de los mismos. Hoy quiero compartir con ustedes sobre este tema, el cual es super importante para nosotros como padres y madres, pues me ha tocado vivirlo y es realmente duro. Tengo dos meses en casa de mis suegros y son pocos los días que puedo ir a casa para estar con mis hijos y, a pesar de ser hombres y mujeres de 22 y 18 años, aún son nuestros bebés y necesitan de nuestro amor y atención.

We have been going through many difficult times for the last two months, I feel that life has given us a great challenge and I am sure that we will come out of it victorious. Today I want to share with you about this topic, which is very important for us as parents, because I have had to live it and it is really hard. I have two months at my in-laws' house and there are few days that I can go home to be with my children and, despite being men and women of 22 and 18 years old, they are still our babies and they need our love and attention.

La vida es tan incierta que nos coloca en situaciones difíciles y en esta ocasión nos colocó una dura como; el estar distante de nuestros hijos como les acabo de mencionar anteriormente y es aquí cuando está se convierte en un gran desafío en la relación mía con ellos, y en esta oportunidad es por motivos de salud de su abuelo. En medio de esta travesía he tenido que buscar estrategias para mantener conexión con mis hijos en medio de toda esta ausencia y una de ellas ha sido la comunicación, gracias a la tecnología puedo hacerle videos llamadas y hablar con cada uno de ellos por separados y saber sobre sus necesidades y también hacemos video llamadas grupales.

Life is so uncertain that it puts us in difficult situations and this time it put us in a hard one like; being distant from our children as I just mentioned before and this is when it becomes a big challenge in my relationship with them, and this time it is for health reasons of their grandfather. In the midst of this journey I have had to look for strategies to maintain connection with my children in the midst of all this absence and one of them has been communication, thanks to technology I can make video calls and talk to each of them separately and know about their needs and we also make group video calls.

Cuando realizó las videollamadas disfruto de cada uno de ellos y los aconsejo en sus necesidades o alguna inquietud que ellos tengan en ese momento, cuando hago video llamada compartida, disfruto muchísimo escuchando las anécdotas de mi hijo en su fútbol y las de mi hija en sus clases de inglés y su hermano jugándose con ella con este tema, ya que él en el mes de julio se graduó como bilingüe y esto es realmente maravilloso. Agradezco que pueda disfrutarlos aún en medio de la distancia. Por este medio, no es fácil. Mis ojos se llenan de lágrimas y mi corazón de nostalgia, pues solo quiero abrazarlos y repetirle mientras tenga vida cuánto los amo a ambos por igual.

When I make video calls I enjoy each one of them and advise them on their needs or any concerns they have at that moment, when I make shared video calls, I really enjoy listening to my son's anecdotes about his soccer and my daughter's anecdotes about her English classes and her brother playing with her on this subject, since in July he graduated as a bilingual and this is really wonderful. I am thankful that I can enjoy them even in the middle of the distance. Through this medium, it is not easy. My eyes fill with tears and my heart with nostalgia, as I just want to hug them and repeat as long as I have life how much I love them both equally..

Otra de las estrategias que hemos utilizado para mantenernos unidos es la de jugar juegos vía online, donde podamos compartir y reír en medio de toda esta ausencia. Esto nos acerca aún más y nos hace sentir cerquita al uno del otro. Cuando llega el fin de semana mi corazón estalla de felicidad, pues ellos vienen a casa de los abuelos o yo voy a casa, y es allí cuando los disfruto desde un simple abrazo hasta un te amo constante, que les haga sentir que mamá está allí para ellos a pesar de la distancia, que siempre estará para ellos a pesar de las adversidades. Que mama siempre será su guerrera y heroína cuando ellos solo presionen la tecla de emergencia. Así soy yo como mamá.

Another strategy we have used to keep us together is to play online games, where we can share and laugh in the midst of all this absence. This brings us even closer and makes us feel close to each other. When the weekend comes my heart bursts with happiness, as they come to the grandparents' house or I go home, and that is when I enjoy them from a simple hug to a constant I love you, that makes them feel that mom is there for them despite the distance, that she will always be there for them despite the adversities. That mom will always be their warrior and hero when they just press the emergency button. That's who I am as a mom.

Mis mamis y papis, sin importar la distancia, tengan siempre presente lo importante de hacer pequeños gestos, los cual generen un gran impacto en ellos y que mejoren día a día nuestra relación entre madre e hijos. A pesar de la distancia tengamos detalles por medio de la tecnología, aquí si aprovechemos de ella para una buena causa, ejemplo mi hija es amante a la lectura de buenos libros, pero ama todo lo que tiene que ver con sagas de vampiros y lobos y yo por medio de la tecnología le envió alguna película o libro que sé y estoy segura de que ella amara.

My moms and dads, regardless of the distance, always keep in mind how important it is to make small gestures, which generate a great impact on them and improve day by day our relationship between mother and children. In spite of the distance, let's have details through technology, here if we take advantage of it for a good cause, for example my daughter is a lover of reading good books, but she loves everything that has to do with vampire and wolf sagas and through technology I send her a movie or book that I know and I am sure she will love.

Cuando veo la cara de felicidad mis hijos eso no tiene precio, a mi hijo le hace feliz todo lo concerniente a su fútbol hablar sobre eso, ver partidos lo llena de adrenalina, así que compartimos esas conversaciones y lo que más ama es comer sus helados y perros calientes y lo complazco para que se sienta feliz y contento. El tener estos gestos con ellos en medio de la ausencia llena mi alma. Buenos, mis mamis y papis, espero que este contenido sea de su interés.
