Primer cumpleaños de Olivia [ESP/ENG]

Hoy 20 de octubre es el cumpleaños de la princesa Olivia, la niña más increíble que llegó para completar nuestra familia. Hoy todo se trata de ti, de la niña más fuerte, sonriente y cariñosa, pero también se trata de mi primer año como mamá, si, y es que a veces todavía te veo y no me puedo creer que yo sea mamá, tu mamá. Mentiría si dijera que ha sido fácil porque realmente no es así, pero para mí ha valido totalmente el esfuerzo y se siente tan bien celebrar cada uno de tus pequeños pero grandes logros y ver como has ido creciendo muy bien.

Today October 20th is Princess Olivia's birthday, the most amazing little girl who came to complete our family. Today is all about you, the strongest, smiling and loving little girl, but it's also about my first year as a mom, yes, and it's that sometimes I still see you and I can't believe I'm a mom, your mom. I would be lying if I said it has been easy because it really hasn't, but for me it has been totally worth the effort and it feels so good to celebrate each of your small but big accomplishments and see how you have been growing up so well.

Sabemos que eres muy pequeña aún, pero nos has enseñado a tu papá y a mí tantas cosas, a mí me enseñaste que soy más fuerte de lo que yo pensaba, que está bien llorar pero luego te secas las lágrimas y sigues adelante, y que el tiempo vuela por eso se debe aprovechar cada segundo contigo.

We know you are still very little, but you have taught your dad and me so many things, you taught me that I am stronger than I thought, that it is okay to cry but then you dry your tears and move on, and that time flies so you should take advantage of every second with you.

Sé que algún día vas a entender la razón por la que mamá no quiere jugar más porque está muy cansada, razón por la cual me has visto llorando también y es que aunque yo sea mamá algunas veces también necesito a la mía, pero estoy segura que algún día tú abuelita te va a conocer, y te va a cantar ese cumpleaños que te cantó hoy en videollamada con una dona.

I know that someday you will understand the reason why mommy doesn't want to play anymore because she is too tired, the reason why you have seen me crying too, and even though I am mommy sometimes I need mine too, but I am sure that someday your grandma will meet you, and she will sing you that birthday she sang to you today in a video call with a donut.

Sé que aún no sabes mi nombre, pero me llamas mamá y al parecer soy tu mundo entero, pero espero que sepas que tú eres mi vida entera también y ojalá esté siendo la mejor mamá del mundo para ti, así como lo es tu abuelita también. Gracias por enseñarme a querer ser eterna desde que me convertí en tu mamá.

I know you don't know my name yet, but you call me mom and apparently I am your whole world, but I hope you know that you are my whole life too and hopefully I am being the best mom in the world to you, just like your abuelita is too. Thank you for teaching me to want to be forever since I became your mom.

Espero que sepas también que eres muy afortunada y tienes mucha gente que aunque están lejos te quieren mucho y lo demuestran. Por ejemplo tu abuela y tu tía @esthefanychacin que se mueren por comerte a besos y quienes están en Venezuela y Colombia, también tu amiga Florecita quien está en Chequia con su mamá y su papá @phortun y quienes te hicieron una hermosa pancarta en español, y por último pero no menos importante tus tías locas virtuales de Hive así como ellas mismas se llaman (@mamaemigrante, @bluevibes, @mariajcastro28, @milagrosmhbl, @helloisalbani, @keritroberts, @alizmarpaola, @kristal24,@leidimarc, @rlathulerie, @yagelybr, @valenpba, @sugarelys) y quienes se alegran de ver una foto tuya todas las mañanas o si no la ven, la exigen. Muchas gracias a todos por hacernos sentir que aunque estamos lejos de mi familia, hay mucha gente que nos quiere.

I hope you also know that you are very lucky and you have a lot of people that even though they are far away they love you very much and they show it.
