Roy’s milestone update

It's being while I shared updates about baby Leroy. It's being Leroy and mummy all day every day with help of daddy from time to time when he is available especially when I have to do some house chores or blog, it is fun seeing them bond often.

Leroy officially clocked 7 months old two days ago, I actually forgot about it till I received a call from my mum singing happy birthday to my baby, mothers, and their drama but it was a good reminder but I still can get over the fact that time blew past so fast no wonder they always say

In Nigeria slang
“ Nah inside belle pikin dey tey”
It means during the pregnancy stage 9 months feels like forever but when the baby land 9 months goes by so fast.

I am grateful for the past 7 months that I have had with my baby and it has been from one milestone to the other

SLEEPING ALL NIGHT

I waited for this moment for a while, from 3 months he slept longer at night but I had to feed 2 to 3 times at night, he wasn’t all rosy but it was far better than the days of no sleep at all but now at seven months, he sleeps all through the night, I wake up worrying most days that he may be hungry but sleepy so I sleep feed him while I can. I think this sleeping through the night is only possible cause he sleeps late. 10 pm or 11 pm is his sleeping time but I am looking forward to changing that soon.

TEETH

there are no teeth yet, I was almost worried but I noticed every kid grows teeth at their own time but I think it could come any day now cause he loves to chew on anything.

CRAWLING

I was enjoying the benefit of keeping my baby in one place and meeting him there sitting or lying pretty. These days I can’t get my eyes off him because of the crawling and rolling... everything in the house is now raised because the wires and slippers are his go-to toys. Now I almost regret getting him toys because he would trade that toy for our home appliances and equipment any day, anytime.

WORDS

No word yet, but I can swear I hear him say DADA once in a while. But is MAMA so difficult? because it seems most babies say DADA as their first word? Fingers crossed he surprises us with something different

CLOTHES

he wears 9month to 12month clothes, especially 12month clothes, he gets so big daily ,weighing 9kg. I have so many nice clothes I never got to wear him because he grew up too fast to fit into them. I try it today and it's too big, I gave it a few days and it gets too tight 😭.

FOOD

We clocked 6month exclusively and started baby-led weaning, it hasn’t been easy, some days I try, other days we go back to breastfeeding but so far so good. he loves chicken so bad, he could chew on it all day As far he is eating and growing strong, it's all good.

SICKNESS

Thankfully nothing so far, no hospital visits except immunization but there is a patch I saw on his eyes a few days ago that has got me worried, in case anyone knows what it is or a solution to it please let me know.
Trying out some home remedies before I take him to a doctor but let me know what you think it is.

CLINGY

he is not clingy as people assume kids that stay home too much would be. My mother in law was so worried that since he doesn't see other people aside from his dad and I, he would be anti-social. I got worrier about it but fortunately he does so well with others, I could live him for hours with anyone as far he is well fed.

I am even considering taking him to creche, but I don't know if my heart can take it yet.🥺

It has been an amazing 7 months, learning all the amazing things I can do because you don’t know how much you can do till you try. I think I love this mummy part of myself.Never a dull moment with Leroy and mummy.
