With 3 days left for mellanie's consultation, I spent a very worried and scared night.
In the case of mellanie, when she feeds, she does not do it directly to my chest, I have to go through a whole process to feed her; I tell you. I must extract 4 ounces with the milk churn to give it in a bottle.
The point is that mellanie began to drown and I didn't know what to do, I was alone in my house with her and it was so scary that I spent the whole night looking at her in case it happened again.
These 3 days of waiting were exhausting for me. I am a new mom, I had already told you, and well, in the city of Bogota - Colombia, doctors do not usually give out their cell phone numbers for an emergency, I have to manage alone with mellanie or go for emergencies.
I know many will wonder about her because she didn't take her to the emergency room.
The truth is that I was faced with many factors that prevented me, first it was fear, then she is premature and cannot receive cold or breeze for any reason, the weather in Bogota, for these months is rainy and cold. There were many things that encapsulated me in fear, I read a lot about the subject but the truth is, living it is different.
I immediately called my mom and my dad's wife to help me with the issue. They helped me stay calm, and we were ruling out the reason why she mellanie returned and got very upset.
Between the two of them they asked me to get the gas out of her, this would avoid a little the discomfort that she felt in her tummy, but she still couldn't sleep peacefully, she moved a lot and cried in her sleep. but how to calm her down and why it happened to her, was my question.
Well, we as mothers must feed ourselves very well during breastfeeding, this day I had drank flavored water, and I never thought of causing harm to my daughter with this. When they found out, my two mothers knew where the problem was and they explained everything to me about it. Here I tell those mothers who don't know so they don't make the same mistake I made.
When drinking this flavored water, my daughter received her gases through my chest, and this caused her to vomit and cause stomach ailments. I quickly went to buy some drops for pediatric gases, this helped her to expel all the gases and the help by massaging her tummy in a clockwise direction.
My fear that she would continue throwing up or vomiting is that mellanie is premature and was born weighing 1,700 kg, which she had already managed to increase to 2,000 kg. I was very attentive to the changes she made and the day of the consultation arrived.
I commented with luxury and details on what had happened to the pediatrician, I examined her, weighed her and noticed something else that was affecting her, the formula. Since he was born in the incubator they gave my breast an extra. Similac, I must give her this formula during each tete she receives during the day.

It is much more expensive than the previous one, and only my husband is the one who is bearing the costs of everything for now. but everything is for the good of her. The previous milk cost 40,000 pesos and this new one is at 45,000 pesos. Her next consultation is in 15 days, her pain and her vomiting have already disappeared. she today she is weighing 2,375 kg
We are already home calm and healthy. If you have any other suggestion to give me for these cases, I would appreciate it if you let me know, a little extra help is not superfluous. every day I want to learn more about how to take care of a baby, especially in my circumstance that I find myself alone most of the time at home.

Bellisima nena! el tema de los gases es super complicado los primeros meses, incluso algunos alargan un poco, pero todo pasa, yo tengo dos nenas y con una de ellas me pasaba lo mismo, pero era que no le estaba sacando bien los gacesitos, ya una vez aprendí la tecnica, todo fue mejorando. Ahora, pregunto si no es mucho abuso, por qué no estás dándole pecho directamente? No es que haya nada malo con hacerlo de la forma en que lo haces, solo me causa curiosidad. Un saludo desde Venezuela!
hola claro que no es un abuso, es que yo intento muchas veces de darle pecho y ella no me consigue pezon, me realizo masajes para que me salgan pero ella aun no agarra mi pecho, pienzo avece que es que no tiene fuerza para succionar y se desesperar por comer, termino dandole el tetero porque me pongo nerviosa al verla desesperada.
