PAINS OF MOTHERHOOD

She is the strongest when things get tough and when it seems the doors are closed. She is brave, she carries the tears of many.

My mum is one of the best people in my life, I could remember causing her heartaches, all those rebuke she gave to me but she still called me her own.

I would love to share some experiences, my growing up was crazy towards her. All those times I put her in a sticky situation. I stole one of her cooking gas when I was a teenager, just to sell it for a meager price.

My dad came back home infuriated in the news of what I had done, I was berated on, my mum was perplexed by the situation. She forgave me even when I behaved like a hoax. It was not the first time I got her sad, following the incidence of stealing the phone of a retail seller. I was almost arrested but she came through for me. my mum would protect and defend me in public but rebuked me in private.

When I was 15, I could remember the time she caught me watching porn in my phone, funny enough I dozed off while it was still on play in my phone. she seized the phone, she bought the phone for me back then. before she released it back to me, she asked if I was willing to change for good, then I accepted to change, my comply was to get back the phone though.

Fast forward to a few years later, I am an adult. I see the sacrifices she made for my Dad, siblings and I. her generosity and kindness towards outsiders, neighbours, family friends and strangers is excellent.

My Mum is filled with a sense of humor and she smiles most of time, even when she goes through the hard times of life. My mum has these qualities but when I paid close attention, I realized she was depressed but she would cover it up in my prescence so I would not give up in life battles

Sometimes I can feel her countenance and mood in her alone time, I know she believes everything is going to be alright someday.

With being an adult comes great responsibility. I am glad she taught me well in my quirks, I had to leave my antics. today I see she paid a price.

If you have a mother or someone that plays the role of a mother in your life, you are blessed indeed!.

Mothers are the pillars of the home, mothers get traumatized, It has been proven that the strongest form of love on earth is the love of a mother

I hope she does not get old too soon, she works so hard. I could recall telling my mum not to overwork, I saw that sunburn on her.

Years ago, we lived in a rented apartment. my family suffered there but she suffered more. she had to work on a farmland owned by the landlord, just to reduce the rate of mosquitoes and deadly insects. The house was old and diminished such that when it rains, the parlour gets flooded. My mum repainted the house and worked on some open holes in the house, all the landlord could do was to come for his yearly rent. We lived there for a few years before we moved out to a new house that was built by us.

We just hope every mother out there would live long to enjoy their sacrifices ❤️🎉.
