Being food conscious is very important for our well-being especially with young children as their systems might be averse to certain foods. For picky eaters, it's best that those foods they don't like are incorporated in small portions into the ones they like.
I also unconsciously read labels(for drugs especially) and browse out their ingredients an side effects. It has saved me from the -quine family's side effect😒
